Lashing rain here at the blackstairs.
    I don't expect any snow till 5 or 6 a.m.
    Off to bed.
Mountains should be white in the morning whatever about the surrounding area.

Geashill in Offaly is reporting -0.2c and a few miles out the road near Portarlington it's +0.7c. Must be turning to snow in those lower-lying areas now along the Laois-Offaly border.

    Lamppost watching in Sligo

Which lamp is shaking the most from the wind

    Oh that one

Oh look when the snow clears drizzle is promised and the most drizzle will be in Sligo

    That figures

So dont complain of your snowsheild in Cork

Sligo has a snow roof where places even 3 miles away get snow like Collooney. Plus we hv the 4th worst traffic congestion in Ireland

Actually just found this Dew Point map on Wunderground, seems to be composed of data from weather stations owned by the general public, so some of them are obviously busted, but still interesting:

Temperatures steadily dropping in the precip at Howth I see.. down from a max of 4.5 soon after midnight, now sitting at 3.3

Beautiful cold rain as expected here.... still holding out to see a few flakes falling as it clears later today..
