Basically the left paddle to aim down sight yeah and then the right paddle to shoot, using this method I have actually been doing a lot better in my games.
Ask anyone I play with, I am terrible at FPS but I still love playing them and I am rubbish at actually getting kills but yet I've improved with the use of he paddles. I know it doesnt sound like much but I am now getting up to 25 kills in a game compared to my usual 5 or even 10 if I am lucky lol

What ever works I suppose! Perhaps it's to do with the fact that the paddles are digital, and not analog like the triggers maybe.

I have my triggers set to activate as soon as they get any pressure and I have the stops on them as well so the max pull is only halfway - essentially making them switches rather than and analog slider.

Have two elite controllers here and both working fine thankfully I would never go back to using the standard controller love the feel and weight and adjustability of the elite.

Bought a second hand Elite controller after having 3 dodgy new ones. This one’s fu*ked too. Dodgy left bumper. I give up.

its a huge flaw in the design. I've gone through two of them.
Get onto Microsoft and send them back to them.
I've sent my 2 back already and they replaced both.

It’s second hand from cex. I’m gonna bring it back to one of the stores that have them in stock and see if they’ll swap it. It’s a great controller to use, such a shame they cheaped out on the triggers and bumpers.

Is the best thing to do they are not that hard to fix and can be quiet fun too instead of having to wait for replacements.

there's plenty of vidoes on youtube on how to do it..you can also use the bumpers from the normal controller which are stronger.

that's because you have Slovakia..I imagine their chip/finesse shots are crap anyway so what's the point in using them :D

I just opened it up now and first impressions are good. I like the rubber texture on the controller itself but I have a fault in mine. The right trigger is fine but the left trigger clicks half way down when you press it.

I sent that faulty controller back to MS and I received it back a few days ago and used it once those back buttons take some getting used to.

I mostly use the controller I got with the One X as the game I am currently playing you do not need to use the back buttons but I will use it when the time comes.

Cex swapped my dodgy Elite for a different one and thankfully this one is perfect. It’s such a nice controller.

I bought this just in case I’ve any issues in future as apparently it’s easy enough to fix.

Is there anything special about the bundled cable with the controller? Mine was an amazon warehouse deal and didn't come with it and I never missed it until now, over a year later. thanks

It's a long, braided, black and green cable. As cable's go, it's pretty nice but it's just a cable at the end of the day :p

Ah, it's not just a cable, it's coated in a bitter repellent! It's meant to keep dogs and other animals from chewing on it, and it tastes mank.... or so I've been told....

In reality, you're not missing anything.

I've ordered from this site a few times, got my Charge and Play kit from them, no problems at all, maybe this might be useful for anyone who might be interested

Is it a kit to convert a standard controller to look like the elite?
    Handy for spare parts too.

How was your play and charge kit? I'm using rechargeable batteries but keep meaning to try and play and charge kit.

    Thanks :)

I've had it for about 2 years, its a godsend, saving on batteries.
I always had a problem with rechargeable batteries so didnt want to waste money on them.

My right bumper has 'mysteriously' stopped working after friend's kids were playing with it over the weekend, three weeks out of warranty!

I’d love to get chrome bumpers and triggers, not the cheap ones. Does anyone know where to get them?

Still covered in Ireland. How old is it?
Also there’s videos on YouTube on how to fix.

It's a year and 2 weeks old, bought from UK as part of console bundle.

You should be fine to get it repaired then.
Try talking to online chat for Xbox support and mention this is is a known flaw with the elite controllers.
We’re lucky here with the warranty we get here. In the US it’s 30-90 days and tough **** after that.

Regarding controllers. I was using my Xbox 360 during the week and the 360 controller is far more solid. The bumpers feel like they would not break and the triggers have a stronger spring as it takes more pressure to move them. The plastic casing is stronger as well probably made with ticker plastic as it weighs a lot more than a Xbox One controller. But saying all that I have not broken a Xbox One controller yet so...

    The abuse they could take!

The 360 controller is to the One controller is Nokia 3210 is to the iPhone.

The bumpers were always easily broke.

The 360 joypad was near indestructible, I have never heard of any known issue with them. Did you have bumper issues with them?
