I watched the whole series over the weekend. Really enjoyed it. Thought there were some parts that were definitely weaker than others, but when it was good it was really very good.

It's like being a fun NFL player to watch is a curse.

Luck, David Johnson, Edelman, Rodgers, JJ Watt and now Deshaun Watson injured. :(

Any article that makes me agree with Dermot O'Leary is most unwelcome.

The three wise men wanting to visit North Korea under the belief they are prominent politicians. The IA must realise they're a complete and utter laughing stock after this.

I'm picturing it being something similar to Borat, but it ends in us getting nuked.

Eagles look legit. They are wiping out the Broncos who are usually strong on D.

Somehow Aglohor has 1 catch for 1 yard.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the worst sports team on the planet. I'm going to bed.

  • This stadium in Dallas is insane.

  • Question for recent-ish homeowners, did you use a mortgage broker and did you feel it was worth it? If so any recommendations in Dublin?

We did use one and have to say it was a mixed bag. Made life easy at the start but it became just a giant pain in the backside towards the end. There was confusion between the bank and themselves about who was doing what that delayed us getting our funds. But that could have been who we went with. If I was going again I'd be in favour of just doing it ourselves tbh. The initial work would be harder, but there would be less chance of issue later on in the process.

Unless you think you're going to have trouble getting approved I wouldn't bother with a broker. Shop around the banks yourself, the process is really straightforward.

  • Thanks both. We've talked to a bank already and I don't think we're going to have huge trouble getting the funds but can't shake the feeling the bank would tell up anything under the sun in their own interest. Hence was thinking of a broker as someone independent. If it's not worth it then fair enough.
