    Same with -Rose.

    Ruby-Rose, Lily-Rose, Darcie-Rose.

Giving kids double-barrel first names is this horrible current craze, usually by people who are as common as muck, or devoid of any original thought.

I don't usually get too offended by names but I was reading an article and a child was called Woolf with the double O. Poor child. He's a child, not an animal.

That’s why he’s Woolf and not Wolf.

    Pierre.

On a fella from West Dublin without a drop of French blood in him.

Reminds me of Orlando... from Tallaght.

Oddly enough i heard my first Khaleesi two weeks ago in Mullingar.

She was no more than two years of age and the quote was; 'Khaleesi! KHALEESI! Get off the f*cking pitch Khaleesi.. All the while the Junior football match went on around her until the referee had to call a halt. Eventually Mammy came on and dragged the poor thing off the pitch.

There's at least 2 Khaleesi's around then as my acquaintance's offspring would not be on a football pitch

Surnames as firstnames, and firstnames as surnames. There's a lad on the Wexford hurling team, and his name is Redmond Barry. What were the parents thinking?
I also know a lad and his name is Dermot McDermot. I call him Seamus McSeamus.
Redmond Barry? Must be named after Ryan O'Neal in Barry Lyndon before he adopts the titular name.

Watching Louis Theroux last night he was interviewing a guy named Seville, his brother Sedan had been recently murdered. Their father liked Cadilliacs by the sound of it.
