Can anyone remember a cult storyline from years ago in FC? Can vaguely remember a cult in Carraigstown in some shape or form.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,355 ✭✭✭✭branie2

There was. The cult was called the Children of the Eternal Light. Noeleen McCoy and her son Stephen were members of it.

Once again, medical personnel in Carrigstown struggle to remain even vaguely believable...

Tonight Dr Oakley walks out of the room after a thorough and professional examination of Hannah in the Phoenix.
"Naw, she's grand now. She'll be fine."
Straightaway, Doug enters the room and finds her unconscious and in a near - coma, and after shaking his head a few times and pulling weird faces, he raises the alarm.
Thank God for Doctor Doug M.D., that's all I can say...
And when Hannah gets to hospital, who's the Doctor in charge of Accident and Emergency?
Dr. Oakley again, of course. He certainly gets around.
I know nobody in Carrigstown has fallen ill since Heather fell from the RTÉ staircase a year ago, and the Health Service is in crisis, but that's no reason not to have a hospital doctor on call.
Even Nuss Ama would do. We all miss her terribly.
    Don't we?

Ah, it's great to see Chief Superintendent Deegan on the job, working hard to make sure that the single parking space outside the Helping Hand is kept free for the many many deliveries of second - hand clothes that Wayne is selling in huge quantities online.
Who said Ireland is in the throes of a recession?
That fella that bought the car off Wayne, I'm magining the conversation when he gets back home with his new purchase
"Jaysis Mick, that's a grand car. Where did ya buy it?"
"Ah, sure I bought it off that Wayne Molloy lad in above there in Carrigstown."
"But I thought his garage burned down?"
"Well yeah, but he's selling cars out of a second - hand clothes shop now. 'Tis very handy, let me tell ya. Whether you want a dacent motor or a used pair of sweatpants or even speedos, Wayne Molloy is your only man..."

Melanie out of the country for a few days. This won't end well.

No it won't end well....for us. We now face weeks of doe eyed Kerri-ann meeting Mondo at every turn, blinking her eyes in guilt at their shared kisses.
They really need to get rid of this character...along with many more.

I thought Dr. Oakley seemed slightly familiar. Marcus Lamb is the son of Peadar Lamb & Geraldine Plunkett (Eoghan's mother Rose). He's been in a fair few things as well.

Reminds me a bit of Eoin Macken who was also in FC

Isint it amazing, Wayne has a garage around the corner from the charity shop where he could store his vicheals, yet Ray is able to use said garage to refurbished his 1990 vintage car for his granddaughter...

Ray's / Mondos apartment needs a make over, that decor must be at least 20 years old... Oh, I'm getting old.. :)

Yes, he was a very good Patrick Pearse in RTE's 'Rebellion' last year

When Doug is the sanest person in the building...fcuk you have problems.

I'm going to ride into Carrigstown on my white horse tomorrow, throw Hannah over my shoulder, take her to a proper GP as opposed to some 'cult doctor' who quite frankly frightens the sh*t out of me.

What household in Fair Schity DOESN'T have horribly outdated decor ? And why do every couple sleep in a box room with a 4 foot bed?

I didn't realise the Phoenix was actually across the road from McCoys etc.

Guess it cant be long now before Carol drives yet another man away, even as decent as Robbie is. Ever notice its always the MEN who leave the soap when it comes to Caddle and her forever lighting up and drinking is an absolute bore fest at this stage. For once id love it if Carol was sacked and we got to see more of Robbie. Shes the most over rated actress in the show.

    More Manson please, shes brilliant!!

Sephiroth_dude, I can't say when Bob became mayor but I do like little dweeb to describe him. Can you please come up with a suitable name for Miriam - I don't think calling her "Manson" is at all appropriate. ( I was thinking of maybe "Nasty Piece of Work) or something along those lines

Best storyline in FC for YEARS. Fact. Manson came into it as a potential partner for Eoghan late last year when Katy was kidnapped, but it turns out she was just trying to round up a whole host of potentially lost and lonely souls to try out her new holistic, alternative New Age group Phoenix Way. Sceptical at first. Emmet has become a complete right hand man to the operations and Mansons techniques have become more aggressive to the point where her members are now completely dependant on her to the point where they will do anything for her.

An answer for anyone and for everything, Manson is manipulative, charming and works for an unknown shady Head Office based in Warsaw. She also managed to bundle one of their most vulnerable members off to their isolated retreat in Donegal to completely brainwash her. Its heading down some dark but my God very entertaining roads.

Also, I'm no fanboy. Look at my posts, I have destroyed how stupid and long the Katy story was, Paul and Niamh, Caddle being over rated etc. But FC have surprised me with how good this story is. Long may it last.

No Manson doesn't work for me either. He was far too crazed and his groupies murdering in LA (Sharon Tate etc). While Miriam is manipulative, in a cult, seems to believe in her 'powers' of healing there must be a better cult leader name for her. She's not Jim Jones either but more Jones than Manson i'd argue.

Its only just warming up, come back in a few months and she will be all Manson

it's nice in any walk of life when a boy finally becomes a man.

Fair play Doug. Also rescuing Orla from the fire. Not the sharpest by any means but he's got a lot of redeeming qualities. I'm becoming a Doug fan:)

I agree Wanderer, it's the best storyline in years in FC. Maybe since Lucy was around. But i can't see 3 of the PW members going on a mad killing spree in Dublin writing 'pig' in blood on fridges in the victims' house:D

Now that would be some episode!! Would leave Love/Hate in the hapenny place:D
