Sorry but MUF really thinks she's an A-lister the way she goes on. Totally up herself and not at all likeable.

Is she always so serious too?
I don't think I've ever seen her laugh.

To be honest, I was actually expecting to see less of him in her snaps after last week, I think she has been reading these threads, and thought she may have taken note of how people aren't mad into seeing him doing take overs etc etc... But the last few snaps made me realize it looks like he is fully part of the 'MUF team' now... She will need to change her name as it isn't just her anymore, he is pretty much all of her content, so the Make Up Fairy name doesn't really work anymore.

Very notion-y! Ya brag about paying 240€ for a meal but won't pay £60 on your nails!!!! Right!

Who's the 3rd ambassador for dibi ...I see Lisa's lust list is there along with muf but don't know the 3rd one?

Cliona from peaches and cream. Wouldn't be mad about her now, her Insta is just one big advertising space. But sure they're all like that I suppose...

Faces by grace is only awake and she’s already doing #sp posts if it’s not an ads it’s the child she has to be the most boring influencer out there zero content

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 383 ✭✭Lindy97

I don't get how anyone can have enjoyment of watching someone else's child for a large portion of their snaps. She's a beautiful little child, don't get me wrong but an influencer is not meant to just sit on the couch and snap her children all day, they're meant to create and drive their content, even her # are pretty uninspired and lazy, no thought or originality into them. Grace's blogs lately are mainly just wall to wall ads or collaborations. I'd rather hear their opinions and thoughts, or even just having a laugh than just links to where I can buy crap I don't need or watch their kids doing stuff all kids do. Same goes for Sue really, all her snaps are is ads for her products (not how their made or any background on them though, despite her insisting they're not white label), or her dogs and then nights out or events she's going to. You actually get very little personal input from a lot of them

Even though James Kavanagh doesn't # as much as he should (I'm guessing), at least imho he is interesting and his content isn't just ads. He goes out, snaps a lot and has opinions on things, and has funny skits etc. Same with James Patrice. Also worth noting they were both openly supporting the Repeal campaign and march this weekend, even if you don't agree with the issue, it shows they're using their platforms for more than just trying to sell you crap.

^^ same, i rarely watch Grace anymore, or Just Jordan (whatever her real name is) and her Pearl. Drives me mad. Like the odd couple here or there is fine, like say Rosie snaps her child when he is being funny, and it puts a smile on your face. Ive no interest in seeing anyones kids day in and day out sitting on the kitchen floor. If they want to change what they snap about, ie be more geared towards mothers and baby content, then do it and plan it and say right guys xyz. Its boring as hell watching anyone's kids sit on the floor playing with toys or eating bloody grapes.

Yes, it shows a huge lack of foresight and ambition if you ask me. Some mums have created amazing blogs giving insights, both funny and sad, into motherhood and your changed life.  Same with saving for a mortgage, there is a real opportunity there to tap into a section of society in a very similar situation, saving, living in your parents house, feeling like you're getting nowhere, tips on how to budget etc and also have a bit of fun with it, same as the mum blogs.
Instead of this need to project an image of consumption, perfection and pushing products because a company is paying you, how does anyone relate to that?

Ive no problem when a kid is doing something new or funny but endless snaps while grace sits on the chair and the child is doing the same thing day in day out is so boring her content is so lazy ads the child more ads more of the child a bit of training thrown in then the same all over again ..
Out of all the influencers she is the one that doesn’t take on board any of her followers requests for change she deletes and blocks anyone who makes a comment and keeps her chat off on Snapchat

She probably sits there looking at the whatever thousand views it gets and wonders why people are sad enough to watch her snapping her baby sitting on the floor or whatever.
Sorry but the same argument has been going around for months so why are people still watching this stuff.

I literally had to stop watching Grace. I don’t think she’s relatable at all. I can’t relate to someone who spends their entire life being a walking advertisement. She’s not even enthusiastic about the items she’s shilling anymore.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,517 ✭✭✭Sunny Dayz

I wish bloggers would disclose at the start of a post that the post is sponsored or a collaboration.

I have found that I've read posts where, although it is disclosed at the end of the post, I'm reading the post not knowing that it's sponsored and thinking hmmm, this is a bit suss, she keeps mentioning x brand or y product, there surely must be a plug there. Then I get to the end of the post, see it's a sponsored post and think ah yeah, that's why she mentions x or y. I just find that I'm being overly sceptical reading blog posts and if the blogger had just disclosed at the start I think my reading of the post would take that into account.

Totally agree, I only relate to her when I'm having a lazy day. She seems to do nothing, in lounge clothes the majority of the day and if she's plugging something it just reeks of falseness.

I've just unfollowed grace on all platforms. Not liking any of her content at all so no point giving out about it. Good luck to her but she is definitely not for me.

Faces doesn't really seem to have a niche at all does she? She snaps from her mums kitchen most of the day... And it's pretty much just snaps of the baby or #ad stuff. Like if you followed her now, you'd probably have no idea she was a MUA or a blogger. I think she has lost her way totally, and I can't get my head around why brands think she is a reputable snapper. Anything she shows off that was sent to her, I will avoid. I really think she needs to take a break from social media, and decide if she wants to blog anymore, and what direction she wants to go in. I dip in now and again to see if she is back creating content, but over the past year or so I can't remember a time where she actually has. The people who are die hard fans of hers.... Am I missing something? Why would you be obsessed with watching someone snap their baby all day?? I don't understand at all. I think she has totally lost the passion for blogging and solely snaps for the freebies now. I've said it before, but I don't know how her family cope with the phone in their faces all the time, I find it such bad manners like!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,821 ✭✭✭fussyonion

And for someone who's a MUA/ambassador/rep for so many beauty and cosmetic brands, you'd think she'd make a bit more of an effort with her appearance.

I know we're not supposed to make digs at bloggers' appearances but I'm just saying she is a rep and ambassador for companies whose brands are aesthetic-based and seeing Grace lounging around in milk stained pyjamas, messy hair and no make-up hardly inspires someone to buy that item or buy into that brand.

It’s funny that she had a meeting with her “agency” today. Hopefully they told her to pull up her socks.

I wonder are he other 2 girls that went to Milan sponsored at all? I've watched a few of there insta stories and they have no #sp uo but MUF has on hers? I don't know them so maybe that's just the way they are and don't say it? But I'd imagine if she had it up she has been told to which names you think they would have been? So maybe there not paid like she has been??

Carla J is now a influncer! See her working with vavavoom a lot lately uses #ad for some of them!

That Lisa one declares nothing and from what I've heard, isn't inclined to advertise anyone from the goodness of her heart

I actually don't hate anyone of them! If I hated them I wouldn't watch! The ones I find boring I have stopped watching! Half my list I actually don't watch all the time! One or two I just watch when something happens cos I'm nosy!

Not aimed at anyone in particular as there is a lot of them involved but some have put personal stories of family loss or battled with cancer with their posts and it just sits wrong with me when it's followed by #ad.
The Centra/Irish Cancer Society #cupsforcancer on instagram.  Even if they're being paid by Centra and not ICS, it still sits wrong in my eyes. I'd rather people do charity promo because they want to, not because they're being paid.

Agreed. The sceptic in me wonders would they have written the post and done a lovely instagram perfect photo if there was no #ad involved.

I can’t believe they used a personal issue to highlight a cause for an ad it’s deplorable

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 383 ✭✭Lindy97

If it's someone who regularly works with and gives publicity to the ICS then fair enough, some celebs are ambassadors to specific charities, but I can't remember any of these doing it unless they are paid or it's part of a campaign.
Obviously anyone can do regular donations on the qt, I have monthly ones going out DD to a few charities so they may do that but this is about publicity, fundraising on a larger scale and helping "raise awareness" to quote a few of them. I don't know if any of them, especially the ones who claim it's something close to their hearts, who do it unless its #.

Not familiar with peaches 'n cream but Lisa was one of the first I followed as I really liked her dress style....and that's what she was all about. The last couple of months however she has really started to annoy me as it's becoming all about the freebies and as Lexie said, she never, ever #ad or #spon anything. She has thrown in a few "brand ambassadors" alright lately. She was on a trip there to the Maldives and there wasn't a # in sight! The whole "isn't this just mental lads" is becoming more and more grating each time she says it. At least drop the "lads" anyway. I think it's fairly safe to assume she has more female followers than male.
