The glanbia averages seem to be a moveable feast tbh. Not showing the same averages or top ten on my report. Average kg on mine is 277 for example. Average milk litres is 15.35.
Different on mine too, why is that ?

Diff averages for spring, liquid and winter supplies? Maybe diff for premier etc also?

lad working in ross mart told me yesterday month olds are making 150 at minute

on our coop report it says the averages are based on all glanbia suppliers not split into liquid/winter/manufacturing so might just be computer error...averages are different on my report to both figures published on here

Best wishes with that Stan, BTW Buford and Blue, the Mods, are looking for sales commission there.
Know a few lads who are doing OK in the Friesian game.

Me too, I have, d.v. , a chunk of outfarm coming onstream next year which is a wee bit too big for the number I intend to milk back here.

It has great sheds though, so planning to swallow the long draw for silage and bales and put everything that hasn't a cluster on over there, and finish our own beef while I am at it. Next year in particular it's going to be very sparsely stocked.

So if there is a good instruction manual for calf-beef I'm definitely after a copy!

Yeah, we're on5% of turnover because 10% of profits won't keep us in coke and hookers!

Teagasc website, publications section has a good calf to beef manual that can be downloaded in pdf.

Didn't you sell cows in the spring because tye extra numbers was too much?
What's the idea of this if you had to get rid of more profitable stock?

Parlour wasn't big enough tbh- more units going in for next spring

Sold some high ebi cows that I didn't like tbh and low and behold their ebi plummeted like hell

March was the only busy month tbh and we haven't been busy since

Took on another farm that will prob eventually be turned to a milking platform- build numbers organically and then convert them to dairy stock

    Organic growth and no borrowing

Yes but didn’t wait for those
Unfortunately they don’t report calf prices on their updates
    Saturday isn’t up yet
