I just rang and was told offers wouldn't be out until at least the last week in September or the first week of October.

    Was your file signed off?

    No it hadn't.

Any indication if it would be signed off?

Had my fitness test end of June, rang today and was told that my status is that my application has one more final check to be done. Does anyone know what this means? Chances of November intake?

    Hmm that could need clarification,

    One last final check is ambiguous in this scenario and can mean 1 of 2 things;

    1. your vetting is not yet complete and they are waiting for something from the vetting department. Difficult to say for sure but this might make it unlikely for you to get november.

    2. Your file is complete and has gone for final sign off. This would mean that you'd likely have a chance at the November intake if your oom was good enough.

Don't know about anyone else's situation but giving us 3 weeks notice is a bit short.

My own personal work circumstances will require me at least 4 weeks notice to get everything in order.

I really thought this Friday or the following Friday is when we'd at least hear about the first round of offers

I'm in the same boat as you. Really hoping to hear by next week at the latest. Can't deal with constantly checking my email accounts.

If induction week is due to start 16th October, then we should hear this week? Second round offers induction on 23rd October. Following week is the week of the Bank Holiday 30th Oct, with the start date 06th November the week thereafter

I'd like to think that at the very least the first offers will be next week.

For the August intake they got 5 weeks notice for each induction week, so by that reasoning, we should hear this week or next.

I wouldn't pass any remarks on when they say offers will be out. Every other intake got a least a month before the start of induction. I remember someone posted on this that they rang hrm about when offers would be out for the august intake and were told it derfintaley wouldn't be that week and they came out that evening . I would be very surprised if nothing happens before the end of next week

Phoned hr today. Not signed yet! But he said they will get files signed off over the next few days for offers, which will be out soon. He said to keep an eye on your email.

Typically yes if not the superintendent then you'll meet the inspector.

Ring HRM to send out a reminder

How long before you might be doing a re test? If your close to the Dublin area I could potentially do the odd joint training when I'm about which is often enough. I know a few nasty training techniques.

Does anybody know how many days you get off from the college at Christmas?

Anecdotally I believe you'll get the whole week of monday the 25th of december off returning on tuesday January 2nd.

Don't trust my word for it, if booking holidays etc check with the college themselves to be sure

That's sound advice. My friend was part of class 152 and had off close to 14 days.

I see, sadly very little cause to be down that way any further than Tipp, and not there that often either. PM me if you want to. I won't get to it for a few hours but I can reply with some obscene training methods. They remain relative to your ability, so no matter how fit you are or how much you feel you need to improve they will challenge you, and will continue to do so as long as you continue to push yourself.

The methodology by the way is intended to help someone physically survive something rather more grueling (my idea being that if you train harder than you need to, when the day comes you will be more than capable and also quietly confident).

    Hi all,

My Superintendant who I know well informed me yesterday that I will be in the January/February intake and a November intake for me would only be possible if there was a high number of dropouts or people deferring their places. My OOM is late 400's I have everything completed since the first week of June. Hope this helps. I was told offers will be out this week and next week.
