Mix of people from different campaigns there.

Don't lose hope bud, there is still time

I know, but it would be sickening to be not make the class simply because it was awaiting sign off.

Was in a bad way last night thinking i'd be waiting until febuary, waiting is a killer

    Hi guys,

Im in the same boat like you, waiting to be signed off and hoping for November. I want to ask you about the weekly payment you receive while training in Templemore. Namely, my partner is coming back to work when I land in school, and Im wandering would my weekly allowance add to our income when applying for let say FIS (we have kids ;-)) or is it completely separate entity, similar to Child Benefit (non taxable). Any knowledge regarding this matter??

Maybe give the tax office a ring on Monday? Surely they dealt with guys in similar situations
    Good luck with it!

Very hard to know how this whole process works... I'm late 500s September and I am signed off and everything done ..
I don't get how some people's files take longer than others to be signed off on.. fair enough vetting time can vary but signing off bit doesn't make any sense.. Just trying to judge what OOM will be good enough for november .
If we take it that little or none of our campaign (september) made the May intake . Then we can roughly say that the highest Oom I've seen to get into August was 340ish. If you take into account let's say 50 people who missed out on August who are now ready and also take into account people who are going to miss out on November who should get an offer based on their oom and also people who have just dropped out due to various reasons.. I'd say the latter people who will be called will be around the 600 oom Mark. This is all just speculation but I've heard that A LOT more people just drop out of the race then you would think. Fingers crossed anyway.. it would help A LOT for people hoping for February for those who get an offer to let us all know what your rough oom is. This will make it easier to judge. Best of luck to all !!

good idea with the rough oom just to see where we all sit and maybe plan for the worst. ive an oom of just under 400. hoping for november

Early 1000s from Jan. Vetting still ongoing. Still a good few left from previous campaign that if signed off in time will get priority over low oom from Sept campaign. It's a long road to tipp. I'm praying for Feb. Out of running for Nov at this point I feel.

So what's the verdict now with the commissioner retiring will that buy a delay on all the form to be signed off. Waiting a month or so for mine to be signed off but wonder when it be done now

This is also a concern of mine. My files been awaiting sign off for nearly 8 weeks now. I'm genuinely ****ting myself that I'll miss out of November ha!

With Donal O Cualáin taking up the role acting commissioner as a result of Noreen's retirement we can hope that there's no delay as a result of this.

Don't worry... from what I understand it's "higher management of HRM " that signs off on the files it's not actually the commissioner.

Sure hopefully this week or next week will sort it out . Kicking stones here at work and couldnt face another 4 or 5 month wait.

Even so I'm still questioning whether it'll be signed off in time :(

It took nearly 3 months for them to review a medical report from my doctor ha!

Its in there best interest and high priority to sign off applicants. They need as many people as possible ready before an intake to make sure they meet the number needed (200) and to have a good amount ready to fall back on due to rejections and deferrals etc.

Your review was dealt with by one man, the chief medical officer who had many other duties to attend to however our files being signed off are dealt with by a more than one person and are of high priority.

Also to add, Commissioner Dónal Ó Cualáin was acting Commissioner while Noreen O Sullivan was on leave and files were still getting signed off during that period.

Are you certain that files were getting signed off whilst she was on leave?

I'm almost certain there was no files getting signed off until last week, I'm open to correction?

I think that with only 2 weeks or so until offers are out, combined with the commissioner retiring, if HR has 200+ candidates signed off there will be no pressure to get files signed off.
For those of us awaiting our file to be signed off, our only hope is that they are nowhere near the 200 mark and they make a push to get a few of us in for the November class. February just seems so far away now.
Has anyone received confirmation their file has been signed off in the last few days or able to estimate how long it takes for the file to get signed off

I last checked just over a week ago and it was still waiting to be signed off, I might give them one more ring late this week before results are sent out. I had been quietly confident of making November a few months ago when vetting cleared...it's getting a bit close for comfort now though!

You will have to do physical exam 3 times during college and twice during next year of actually working at a station.
And I think they won't let you graduate if you won't pass
