Ye will have to forgive me but I have to post it again as I'm over excited at this stage.... 306

We had the same record in finals give or take in the hurling.
We had that history that burdened us. We lost one of our legends which could have added a weight. It didn't, take your history, think of your legends and when it's in the mix the next day, let Aidan or Cillian or Andy or whoever repeat David Burkes words - not again, we're not letting this happen again. Go and ****in win it by whatever means possible.

I hope to goodness, that if you do win the damm thing (yes, I said IF :D ) that you are given the credit for it in the here and now & people and the media focus on that primarily. Leave the past where it is. Respect it, but don't be obsessed by it, or constantly remind the players of it.

Heard a lot of Joe Canning interviews over the past week. The tone of them all seems to be "Well Joe, how much has your life sucked over the past 10 years? "

Drained the joy right out it.

That is just what I needed. It brought a lump to the throat and almost eye water. I'm ready.

It is all about inches. The last one went with one kick of the ball. That won't happen again.

There are not just physical inches, there are the mental inches. Rochford has been forcing the team to gain these crucial mental inches by pushing them to the brink physically and mentaly each and every training session, so they would have to fight beyond the physical for those mental inches each and every match, leading to a perfect peak for the AI, the perfect outcome for the perfect cunning plan.

I think I'm all worked up again :D

    That's abysmal.

I was the same last year for the first game. It's a killer.

Actually appears I'll be ticketless this year for the first time ever but I'm determined not to let it put any dampner on the occasion. It doesn't matter where you are, if Mayo win the All Ireland, isn't it going to be the perfect day regardless?

Don't give up,if it were me I'd try up til 2.30 before the match!:)

Genuine supporters like yourself invariably get tickets if they put the groundwork in.

Honestly, it's incredible the amount of tickets that surface in the two hours before a game. People hang onto them in case they could sort someone they know, once they're sorted they start offering. I saw a lad from Mayo trying to get rid of three tickets before last years second game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 617 ✭✭✭franklyon

Well if anyone on the Mayo thread here know or hear of any tickets going please drop me or MaroonandGreen a message and that includes up to the last half an hour before the game.
