    Birr! The final frontier.:D

Went up to see the craic on Saturday. Was wll worth a visit. A lot of the same ****e as previous year but still worth a look.

There was a good vibe in the NARGC tent as well. They were relaxed and happy and giving out some free stuff to the kids. Fair play.

Some post arrived to the county boys on Friday and the lads didn't know much about it so they asked some of the Exec in the tent. They just said get yer lads to raise it at the next Gov body meeting as they were working on Birr when it arrived on Friday.

Next meeting will be end of September I wouyld say.. will have to go to that now to throw my tuppence worth in. Bring yer popcorn.:D

Fair play to the lads and ladies another good job done, nice to meet some of the Executive.

Have to agree wit comments tent was laid out well. Everybody was very welcoming and very informative. They had the match showing on Sunday too which was a bonus. Overall i think it was a success. I seen on Facebook Saturday photos of youths being presented wit gifts and getting a rundown on different aspects of game development and vermin control which is a huge positive in my eyes. So i must commend the executive on this
    Job well done lads

How is it entrapment this time...

Much More like Sssshhhhh. .don't let anyone know what's going on....

look up the Irish courts website under the surnames of the executive..all the cases are a matter of public record for those bothered to look. ..

And yes I am well informed..very very very very well informed😀

    all in the high court

[Mod Note]And on that note, please read the forum charter, specifically this part. Anything in the courts is verboten (under Irish law, it risks contempt of court rulings, as happened here).[/Mod Note]

Sub Judice... isn't that the term,

I think I'm right when I say its discussing something in verbal or non verbal communication which is before the courts that "something" having the potential to influence an outcome.

Correct; however in our case here, you have to remember that posting here is legally publication, same as for the example given above. We may not be newspapers; that doesn't matter (see previous suits involving things as seemingly trivial as a single facebook post leading to five-figure lawsuit judgements). Hence the rule.

No discisson on matters before the courts is a rule and wise one.

Thankfully there is lots going on, not subject to legal cases. left to chew the fat on...

    Yawn.......
Did it hurt your fingers when you had to spell discussion incorrectly

No, there's just restrictions on what people in this country can talk about when court cases are involved. In publications, at least.

I understand that I was referring to the general content from a few "in the know" contributors

I've noticed that in past case of that being implicitly claimed by posters, it's not been subsequently borne out.

We'll have to agree to disagree so

No thanks for asking. Are you feeling tired?

I am only passing on what I hear. What I do notice about this thread is that questions/opinions /speculation on what is or might happen is either ignored or the motive of the poster is questioned rather than the topic.

How could anyone question your motives?
You started posting last February and you only post in this thread, sure that's not odd at all

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,038 ✭✭✭✭Sparks

I am only passing on what I hear.
I don't think we could ask for a better definition of hearsay.
And remember, posting here is legally publication for the purposes of the defamation act and anonymity here is not extended in cases where court orders get issued; see the forum charter.

Well what is happening is that we shall soon see whether this Executive delivered or not.

Very hard to avoid court cases when you are the defendant.

The disaffected are still the disaffected..

Silent for years like good lap dogs but now that there is change for the better ..well lets not have that now...

If a county is not happy..there is the gap.

I would bet a new 223 that the Executives in those counties are not briefing their members on what is really going on.

In my experience changing those "in charge" changes very little apart from who's on the gravy train.

True, there is always that chance that life will be as before but we shall soon know.

Somehow I expect the gravy train has been derailed and thats why we have tears and gnashing of teeth.

It is the talk of counties leaving that has me stumped. The annual reports are coming out at the end of the month. Lets see how they got on first anyway. I will be at the governing body meeting on the 30th.

I would be fair pissed if my county was pulling out at this stage.

In my experience the way NARGC is setup needs to change. The current regional approach means that the national setup are too far removed from the grassroots.

After many years involved in my club & region I now just pay up, get my card and go shooting :)

How can I get an Annual Report? Tried for years and never got one :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 156 ✭✭Backbarrel

1 rgc looking to know what the rule is for leaving and getting its money back out of the fund......

Here is the rule for leaving.. Dear Nargc, I wish to leave..kind regards

Nargc says thanks ..off ya go..you do not get yer money back from fund. doesnt work like that.

That county should invite national executive down for an ask me anything session before deciding to leave.

    maddest thing I ever heard.

Although.bird subsidy fund divided by 27 counties? on second thoughts ye should go for it!ðŸ˜

The annual reports are handed out at the last Gov Body meeting before the AGM. The delegates for each county collect them.

If you have not received the annual report and the accounts then contact your delegates/county secretary and they will give them to you.

If you can't get any luck there then contact the NARGC directly. As a member you are entitled to have them.

I believe things have changed and changed utterly. Hopefully there will be ample evidence of that shortly.

The national executive has already implemented positive changes though haven't they, introduced an actual system for request for quotation as opposed to what we had before......
