Foods for bulking

    For a bulk I usually eat 3800kcals, yet I find it difficult to eat all my foods without staying up late at night, I usually eat scrambled eggs for breakfast,and toast which is around 600kcals and also 2 bananas which is another 200kcals, afterwards I eat chicken and rice, which is around 400kcals, even though the rice which I don't like since it's so dry I still eat, and afterwards I eat later on at around 6pm, around 1000kcals to 1400kcals worth of food, putting me around 2400kcals most of the time, by 8pm I eat some fish, which is usually 300kcals and I end up with around 2800 to 3000kcals, still leaving me with another 1000 to 800kcals, by midnight, and I usually have to stay until 1 or 2am to finish all my foods, I really want to finish eating all my food by 8 or 9pm but idk what to eat instead, is there anything I should replace or do, because I've tried a multiple amount of stuff and I still end up being awake until midnight eating, any answers would be appreciated, thanks

    Nuts milk and peanuts have too much fat, and I'm looking for high calorie carb foods, and fish and rice cakes have literally no calories, and I already said I eat fish, please read what typed before replying back without reading anything I said

    For my sins, I did read what you said. Nowhere did I see that you only wanted high carb suggestions.

    Fish and rice cakes is a joke. Look it up.

    Or not. You have it all figured out so why you ask for advice is beyond me.

    Do you ever make any smoothies/shakes? It's an easy method to have a lot of calories quickly.

    Why is too much fat a problem? Do you have specific macros in mind?

    Yes, if I eat over 120g of fat I feel lethargic, and so I keep my fat at around 110g, 150g protein and rest carbs

    So like 2000 calories from carbs. Are you trying to make it "clean" or does it not matter? Cause whenever I wanted to fill up some big calorie hole with just carbs I'd just go out and buy a big bag of something. Usually m&m's. 800 delicious calories.

    But as you said if you go over 120g of fat you feel lethargic. Surely that's not a big deal if it's the last meal of the day and you'll be hitting the bed soon? Sounds like a good thing in that case unless it also affects you the next day I guess.

    Whatever sweets are on offer in Tesco is my suggestion. Worked for me when I had big carb and calories goals to hit.

    Shakes. I pretty much adjust my diet around them. I have a main meal plan which consists of eating normally with good quality meals which include veg, protein, lean meats, carbs etc. After that I just adjust my diet with shakes.

    If I am bulking I have two shakes a day, one in the morning and on training days one after the gym or on non training days one at night. When bulking I just make them calorific such as Protien Powder + Bananas + Peanut butter but what ever works for you.

    Diet is all about sustainability and I find this makes it super easy to adjust my diet as when I start maintaining or cutting a little I just drop calories in the shakes. My main diet never changes so I am not constantly having to wonder am I eating enough as the calories are really easy to keep consistent in what you add to a shake. It has made the process hugely simple and something I can sustain long term which is the key to any diet.

    Well then just make a healthy smoothie without protein powder with lots of calories. I have already said it isn't used a a major meal but an adjunct when bulking. It has no side effects. It is just protein, you know the same stuff you get from eating food. At this point you are either trolling or just completely misinformed.

    Protein powder isn't a bioavailable protein, you should be getting your protein form meat, milk, eggs, whole meal foods, not protein powder, many people said that their stomachs hurt from protein powder and also it causes acne and for some even hair lost, and I need foods with high carbs, what does protein powder have to do with high carbs???

    Protein powder is a milk byproduct, it's perfectly fine.
    I've never heard of any of the side effects you're listing there, I have heard whispers about creatine and hair loss but certainly not whey.
    Yes, you should be looking for carb heavy foods but I'd try to balance the macros somewhat by boosting protein intake too.

    I might suggest you dont start a thread with "what should i do" in the OP and then snap at users that you know what you're doing. People are giving some time to give you advice. Take it on board or don't, but play nice

    You're acting like you know it all in an arrogant and condescending tone in reply to people taking time out to give you some advice.

    I'm sure we've all done the same thing but it's an attitude you'll need to grow out of eventually.

    People looking to lose weight generally try to reduce intake by increasing fibre and protein intake; do the opposite.

    Say hello to ice cream, chocolate, butter on your spuds etc etc If in doubt chose high sugar and high fat evrytime. Enjoy it won't last forever

    I wouldn't quite take it that far when bulking and try to keep it a little more healthy but I do agree with the sentiment and if it works for you great. People don't enjoy bulking nearly enough. I hit my macros when bulking and after that I eat pretty much what I want within reason. I know it is the not the most optimal way of doing things but it is something I can sustain long term.

    Bulking should be enjoyed imo. You get to eat more or less anything (within reason), see constant improvements in the gym, loads of energy, see improvements in size on your muscle mass etc. Your diet is much more flexible so you can work it around a busy life that most of us lead.

    People spend so much time trying to be exact about everything, doing everything right, hitting exactly 500 cals over, eating really really clean etc that it all becomes a huge chore even when bulking and then cutting becomes complete misery. It is a cycle of never ending misery really and you can't sustain that in the long term.

    Lots of people in the fitness industry annoy the hell out of me at times because they have this dogma on how to get results. Usually it comes from what has worked for them in the past so they incorrectly think it is the only way of doing things or that it is the best way of doing things. The reality it that you can achieve good results in many different ways and finding a way which suits you and your life best that you can sustain long term is the key because in the end results come from consistency over long periods of time.

    What are you talking about?, I took everybody's advise into consideration, and then half of the comments are of oblivious idiots like you complaining that I didn't read the comments or are trying to start an argument, if you have nothing useful to contribute then shut it
