If that is the case, boxing is carried by Floyd.

You can say AJ did 1m buys but so did Jon Jones
Jones is gone now, AJ will only get bigger in terms of a draw

I'm thinking McGregor is going to be very unconventional in the ring

Running and jumping around to try and offput Mayweather

And do you see him throwing any punches...??

Or will he just be doing dummy karate kicks all night...?? :pac::pac:

The moment Conor attempts to throw a punch in this fight, he becomes a boxer... it really doesn't matter much, what kind of theatrics he does beforehand (if any).

He won't have energy to throw away in there. So he needs to be intelligent in what he does throw!

Bruce Lee analogy: When you pour water in a cup... it becomes the cup.... when you throw a punch in a boxing match... you become a boxer! :D

Possibly . By the 3rd he will gas badly though .

Is there any particular rules governing messing about in the ring?

Running about ,jumping ,bouncing off the ropes etc?

Thanks for that link. Excessive showboating covers all the silly stuff suggested.

I was surprise to see punching while on or beyond the ropes. So when you are leaning back agains the ropes and slipping punches you are not allowed counter? That doesn't seem right.

I think it means literally on- rather than against the ropes

What? I can link you to hundreds of punches over the years that were set up with both feet were off the canvas.

Of course you can jump. Prince Naseem Hamed's corkscrew uppercut involved both of his feet off the floor.

Crazy talk. Conor can do the high jump in there for all he wants. Technically the rules say one foot must be on the floor when a punch LANDS but it's a) never enforced and b) he can still jump all he wants otherwise.

John Kavanagh thinks Conor wins by KO in Round 6.

If it turns into a 12-round-war he was on the right track that Conor would land many punches cleanly.

Max Kellerman would be the delusional one.

Sorry, what are you on about?

I kept this as simple as possible.

Conor is talking about wining easily inside 4 rds. JK is saying Conor wins in the first rd if Floyd comes at him, the 6th rd if Floyd backs off.

I never mentioned wars. I said if the fight turns out to be competitive then neither camp is really delusional.

Or, both are delusional because both got their verdicts wrong.

You can't apply this delusional sh1t to only one camp should the fight turn out to be competitive.

It's actually the non boxing camp that are claiming a clearer type win here. Easier as well.

And the boxing community are the snobs?

    You couldn't make it up.

Don't think Floyd will come at him, McGregor will do the charging. If he stays on the outside he will be eating Mayweather jabs until he falls.

    And fall he will.

Any chance Conor will revolutionize boxing, by introducing dance moves into the sport...??

I think we may be on the verge of witnessing a major cross-over between boxing and dance... Ido Portal is secretly a top dance instructor! (code name: movement coach) :P

I think his rubber arms routine might just be crucial, if he is going to win this thing!! How the hell would you even begin to counter this kind of thing?

Conor is light years ahead of the game... light years I tells ya!! :D

Michael Carruth on Tv3, bad mouthing someone for saying things about boxing from the McGregor camp on social media, any idea who?

"He never won nutin" "I don't kick people in the head" sounds very pissed off.

    The Hatton fight is interesting.

Hatton came out the blocks and put the pressure on Mayweather and he didnt like it too much. He stumbled a bit and left open gaps in his defence. I see McGregor being similarly aggressive and his movement might be better.

I think Mayweather will win, but anything could happen.

Wonder and the other fanboys are going to have a melt down trying to defend their hero after that article.

well written mind you if a bit over the top, mentions the character flaws without going too deep.

I feel it will all end in tears and bankruptcy for McG. But what a ride while it lasts!

The likes of Hatton and Maidana literally tried to put their forehead on Floyd's chest and fight through pressure inside. Both had joy at times.

The problem for McGregor is he has zero inside game. All of his KO's have come from range.

He better be able to jump...

We all know that Conor likes to take inspiration from the animal kingdom... and who in the animal kingdom, are better boxers than the mighty kangaroo!? :D

Went with a 11/4 €4 bet for Mayweather to be knocked down during fight, seen both fighters were at 33/1 each to win the fight in 60 seconds or less.

I seem to recall sky showing Ward's last fight. I liked Carl as a fighter, but boy is he full of himself.
