I can't understand the hatred that Trigger had for Carol, like constantly drawing her in then just to be vile to her again. I suppose some people are just pure evil...

Yes. The bond between father and daughter is so special in most cases. Most men would kill person who abused their daughter.

I thought it was a great episode, Cathal was brilliant with Trigger, it gave him great scope and his acting was brilliant.

I was glad Carol didn't kill Trigger otherwise we'd have another "I feel so guilty" story. I did think she killed him till Cathal showed up.

Robbie's floppy hair! He'd look far better with a no. 2 all over.

Frau Bild said about Robbie last night, as his hair was flying and he was being strangled with the most worn/weakest looking belt i ever saw, in her best irish accent 'Isn't he an awful gob****e!'.

That belt would crack with little pressure, it was pathetic.

I think the writers of Coronation Street have being watching Fair City!

I think so too! But hopefully it won't be as long drawn out!

Don't think Corrie would look to FC for inspiration.

What storyline in Corrie is similar?

Pat Phelan keeping someone locked up in a disused building!

No sign of him at all in the last month, so you've missed nothing.

Charlie Manson manages to rob Petes job in the community centre next week! Between the Arcade, Community Centre and the cult Phoenix Way, that's some time management skills right there!

I quite warmed to Gerry Bannon ... aside trying to strangle Robster (actually no, scrub that, maybe it should have gone through through with it :D) - looked like a decent chap, turned around his life, trying to go on the straight and narrow and trying very hard not get back into his old ways.

I wonder if FC will ever try and bring him back again, either as the same character or bring him back as a new character and hope the viewers wont recognise him as Bannon?

Ha! Any mention of Derrrmet, niamh and Ben?

The battle of wits is continuing between Paul and Niamh with both refusing to move out. Niamh suggests they hire a cleaner and, to wind her up, Paul offers Orla the job! And it looks like there's more trouble ahead when Niamh's offer of a truce isn't accepted.

About 20 years ago the same actor (Denis Conway) played a criminal called Robbie for a few months. I think he was involved with Terence who killed Leo's wife Lana.

ah yes Lana - she was the polish blonde one wasnt she? - I didnt know she was killed, thought she just left him.

Talking of Leo what happened to his last love, the large blonde Dublin woman who was scrounging off the social welfare was it? - I missed those episodes

Yeah that was some laugh! Seriously though even the script writers must be scratching their heads at this stage thinking of reasons to keep Paul and Niamh in this show. They have done the affairs, revenge, I'm leaving/No I'm not, more affairs, the infertility, I'm leaving you, oh no you're not, another affair yawn. What's next? They both get a brain injury and fall in love all over again!

    :confused::confused:

The emotional impact that the episode could have had was ruined by Robbie's ridiculous hair!
I couldn't stop laughing. Father Damo again!

Greasy - looking pretty different in this photo:

Ireland is a bit like Aussie soaps and drama programmes in the respect that actors hop from one show to another - years ago I would watch Prisoner Cell Block H and they used to have actors in there from Neighbours or Sons and Daughters (remember that? :) )

I remember Morag from Home & Away used to be in Sons & Daughters.
