On another note, Davos and Melisandre meeting should be interesting. Obviously the onion knight and Jon won't have the final say what happens as they're danys guests but I think she'll take their side as she's experience the same sort of thing. A ritual with an unnecessary death that basically didn't do anything.

    Should be good either way.

    Shame that didn't happen.

Episode 3 throws up a few interesting questions...

Will Dany continue to trust Tyrion? That's twice now he's been outmaneuvered strategically. She could well be more reluctant to take his counsel, especially if Jorah returns to the fold as expected.

Could Jorah help Dany and Jon ally when/if she learns Jorah was cured by Jon's most trusted friend?

Will Lady Olenna's confession drive the wedge between Jaime and Cersei? Cersei could well see it as just a final F.U. from Olenna, whereas Jaime might see it as proof of Tyrion's innocence (at least with regards to Joffrey).

Yeah, Casterly Rock was hung out there as a nice juicy plum and they fell for it. The fact that there was no gold there was interesting. Olenna knew, but nobody else by the look of it. I'm assuming it's Highgarden's wealth that Cersei is going to use to pay off the Iron Bank. To be fair to Tyrion, second guessing would leave you in a spin, at some point you have to make a call. Based on the trailers, I reckon that Dany will attack the main Lannister army with dragon fire and Dothraki, so that could be a major setback for Cersei.

Also, I assume they now know where Euron's fleet is. Or close enough anyway.

And Sansa too. She blamed both for Joffrey's death.

Find it hard to believe that if Olenna thought for a second that she could be captured and become Cersei's plaything that she wouldn't have ended it herself.

Good final scene all the same though

So Sam has to copy a load of old scrolls,
what are the chances of him finding an old lost scroll from the Tower of Joy?

Or maybe that's exactly what was intended .. ''oh, I didn't realize that was in there''

Wonder if Bronn will switch sides to tyrion. Tyrion bought his allegiance by saying he would always offer him more money than those who were trying to kill him. I assume that still holds.

I think that they are setting it up for Sansa to swoop down with the North \ Knights of the Vale and Riverland armies to either claim the throne or save the day.  Then while all them armies are down south the White Walkers invade the north.....

I was always skeptical of the idea that Jon and Danerys would get together, just didn't see them as a potential couple. But during their last scene together where Dani offered the dragonglass, they had some good chemistry.

Will be interesting when Jon returns to winterfell and Bran tells him about the flashbacks.

That should be spoiler tagged. I'm pissed.

That actually doesn't need spoiler tags. It's a speculation thread. :D

And no. I wouldn't think so. Professor Slughorn would have waved his telescopic wand thingy at him to check, since it's a decided risk factor in the treatment.

Yep that whole thing was speculation they drew from a leaked script page.. The page was on a different scene but they inferred quite a lot based on it...

Olenna tells Jamie that Cersei will be the death of him or something similar. Could that be foreshadowing? Jamie dies before Cersei or perhaps with her?

I'm still hoping that Jamie will be the one to kill Cersei and that his chat with Olenna will confirm what he already feels about the direction Cersei has taken. He's already a Kingslayer, why not a Queenslayer too? I think it would be really poignant if it was Jamie rather than anyone else.

What do we think will happen between Cersei and Euron: she definitely seemed to be leading him on (up the garden path?) in EP3. Maybe she invited Jamie back to her bed to make up in advance for her 'betrayal'?

Her promise to Euron was "when the war is won". I doubt that sort of stringing along will suit Euron and he's only loyal to the crown as long as it suits him. But I suspect Cersei knows that too.

I think part of the reason she's pushing out the promise to marry him is that as soon as he's the "legitimate" king, there's nothing stopping him bumping her off, if he wants. At the very best, in that situation, Cersei would lose the majority of her power, and she likes being in control. The Iron Bank guy remarked last night that she was the first ever queen on the Iron Throne, and that she went against superstition by putting herself in that position, so I would say there are many who would accept an Iron Islander king on the throne easier than a queen of any lineage.

I can see Euron betraying Cersei because he gets tired of waiting, or because he sees an opportunity to take advantage of some weakness. I don't know if he'd side with Dany - and I don't know if Dany would accept him either - but he'll look after himself first, always.

Maybe it'll come down to a choice between losing the war (and their heads) and Cersei marrying/putting out for Euron?
