Glynn back with the panel probably won't start but the tipp back line won't be to happy with the sight of him warming up Barry and hamill will be in cold sweats already.
Tipp will be all out for avenging the league final defeat they are confident in thier abilities to rack up scores to win games but the full back line is getting all things said about them at the moment not good for thier confidence.Tight semis the last two years, last year was a sickener with canning and touhy injured.
Galway will cope with them and won't be resting on league final win,AI is a different kettle of fish.

    Hi,

If those tickets are still available I'd be interested in taking them off you?

I wouldn't say it will even enter lads heads tbh, it was a league final at the end of the day, I doubt anyone will remember in 10 years time, even 5, who won the 2017 League final.

Probably not, tipps two games will stand to them mcgarths hurling well callanan always dangerous and if bubbles gets going they will be hard beat.
As has been said have galway been tested this year?probably not so it's all in the melting pot.
Galway's fowards are just as dangerous and capable as tipps.
The games result could well hinge tipps full back line and Galway's readiness after the five week break.
Hopefully there won't be any hard luck stories or dodgy ref decisions.

Can't agree with the bolded part, to be honest there is no forward line anywhere near the Tipp one, however Galway are stronger in defence and midfield so should be an intriguing battle.

Personally I don't buy into the 5 week break thing, it's different I think when you have to face it as Munster Champions and have had a tough provincial campaign behind you, but Galway won Leinster at their ease and lets remember that for years Galway had an 11/12 month break before a semi final, 5 weeks seems very short in comparison!!

Galway managed the 5 week break alright before in 2012, so don't think it will be a major factor.

In fairness, when on song Tipp's FF line is lethal, see AI final last year. They move with a slickness and understanding that can be very hard to combat. However, on occasion Callinan can be held (see Diathi Burke last year), two McGraths don't always prosper greatly v Galway, (Noel subbed last year, John in the league final ?) and Bubbles mightn't be quite in his form of 2016. Never rated Bonnar as highly as some; as a workhorse he's an improved version of Cyril Donnellan but his scoring inability cost Tipp the drawn final v KK in 2014 I maintain, ( he was clean through on goal in the 2nd half and fumbled the shot). Galway's forwards are a bit more individual than Tipp's, but all six fielded are well capable of taking multiple scores. Galway's midfield has been going very well (and Coen's removal from here in last year's meeting was a bad mistake by the sideline), but Tipp could surprise on the upside yet. Both FB lines aren't their teams' strongest areas, but Tipp's moreso; Galway have the better goalie. Both HB lines are strong in the air and again both don't like to be turned and run at. Harte is having a fine season but has been helped by the fact that's he's been the spare man for much of it.

When you add it all up, you can see why the bookies are calling it very close.

Will there be any changes in the Galway team for Sunday? I think there is an argument for bringing in Gary Sice into the half forward line, but I am not expecting this to happen.

Not sure since has the legs for Kerry in croker . Be fine for last 20 mins or so . He will probaly start same 15 as last Saturday . Cummings mcdaid o curraoin brannigan options off the bench . Doubt we will see Meehan as last Saturday s appearance looked like a token one . A real pity as his performance in the rain v Kerry in 08 was worth admission alone .

There isn't a hope Sice will be brought in.

And, his form doesn't warrant a starting place either.

Some pretty good lower tier tickets on the website today, but unfortunately I am stranded on the top deck.

Yeah I know. Just responding to the general theme of topic rather than specific quote.

Sice is a fantastic player. He is a really great example of what a guy can get out of his career through perseverance and hard work. A player who got better as he got older. I remember him on underage teams with Galway and Corofin with players much more talented and skilful. But he was the one to go on and have a great career with Galway. He is a very good option on the bench but he hasn't quite done enough this year to justify starting.

Has Michael Daly done enough to justify his starting position? He has great talent and potential but he has not delivered for Galway in the championship thus far.

He was fine against Mayo. We're in all likelihood not going to beat Kerry without some fireworks. I'd far rather take him as a risky proposition with a high ceiling over someone steady like Sice or Lundy. I say that as someone who's a huge fan of Sice

Daly deserves to start. I'd almost go as far as saying that Daly, comer and walsh are the 3 certainties to start in the forwards. Needs to start burying those goal chances that are coming his way though.

Think he's been fairly steady so far bar the Roscommon game which was just a systems malfunction all round.

So - what about this "frightening" team that Kerry have named for the weekend??

It's hyperbolic of course. Strong half-back, midfield and full-forward lines. Half-forwards really not all that "frightening" (more workhorses), and at the back they could ship scores if Galway get a bit of attacking ball and run at them.

Have Galway named their team yet?
Probably the same starting 15 as the last day or very close to it I suppose?

Hyperbole maybe but I am very anxious about an Ciarraf line. Anyone of them could finish us.

....forget the Kerry ff line, its the Galway fb line that i'm anxious about.

Be great if we could find a lad like Gary Fahey, what a legend of a player he was.

I don't think dropping Gary at his peak into that full back line would improve things too much. He would still have 5 other very average defenders around him and a new type of game that leaves the full back line very exposed. In fact it might not suit him at all. Not many fullbacks look too impressive these days.

Will be interesting to see how Sean Andy develops

Not pressuring the opposition kick outs again and giving them a 50:50 chance of winning ours.

Not sure how any manager could think that's a viable tactic.

We'll need to match the top teams in that regard if we want to go to the next level.

You've Michael Meehan sitting on the bench and you've Bernard Power coming up taking 45s.

Is there anything logical that KW does?.
