suddenly starting to get cloudy here from the south. Yesterday may have been the best day of it across much of the southern half of the country. Breeze also kicking in, still 22C here, I reckon that could be today's high here.

Lovely day again in Castlebar, clouds have now mostly burned off and it is 23.4C with a very light wsw breeze.

Wall to wall cloud in Tralee.:(

A good clear slot approaching the south coast, which should allow lots of heating during the afternoon hours when it's warmest anyway - providing much needed energy for the line of storms developing behind the clear slot.
The cloud is burning off in the midday sun here. 23.7c now.

Reversed, yet Clare is caught in the middle, getting the worst of both worlds :(

I'm less than 10km further inland yet temperatures are still over 26c here with a very warm moderate breeze. The tar road is melting and I've now got tar on my soles of my shoes. Serious strength in the sun although it is just about to cloud over now so expect a drop in temperature as convection begins.

Sun came out for a solitary 5 minutes, gone again, but temperature skyrocketed all the way to 23.3c.

Still rather it sunny and 18c though.

Very close here in Tralee. Mid level cloud getting more dense and darkening . Felt a few light drops a short time ago.

Interesting cloud shapes, quite jagged under the base. Cant see heights.

    Feeling very warm.

Every station in the 20s on the 15:00 reports. A rare sight.

Especially given the cloud over parts of the country!

Getting darker here in West Clare too, however it's 23.1c, incredible really. Didn't get this temperature yesterday when it was wall to wall sunshine!

Clearance has made it inland from the south coast: E Cork, Waterford, S Kilkenny and Wexford are back in the sunshine. This will push northwards over the next hour or two - it will be a hot evening for a time before convection builds up... interesting 12hrs coming up.

26.3C currently in Castlebar, do not think we will get higher here today, clouds are starting to move in now, humidity is still quite low at 48%.

Bit of rain at the moment, and distant blue skies here in West Clare!

    Bit cooler now, 22.1c.

Looking at the latest Met reports and unless you've a microclimate, humidity should be fairly low where you are, by Irish standards.

The west and northwest had humidity in the mid 40's to mid 50's at 15:00 with readings over 70% much further south.

Maybe it's just very warm so :D

But it does feel very close and I've a headache from it which usually only comes with high humidity

66% here (West Clare) currently, rising all day.

No worries, wasn't having a go at you or anything but a lot of the time people will instantly say it's very humid just because it feels very warm. It was over 26c a few hours ago and I was out for a short walk. I didn't break a sweat despite it being so warm with a very hot sun so I knew that the humidity was low, just by the lack of sweat.

very warm in Drogheda, not humid as there is a nice coastal breeze, but very warm! Also getting those broken high white clouds coming in now.

I notice every single Met Eireann station is reporting at least 20C at the 4pm readings. That is quite a rarity that all stations reporting at least 20C simultaneously as I recall even during past hotter spells when somewhere was reporting 29 or 30C, you'd have an anomaly somewhere else such as a station like Malin Head only reporting 16 or 17C due to local cloud/sea breezes.

Well the good weather was nice while it lasted. Back to the mediocrity of this July so far.
