Look, these two chaps will be best buds by the end of the press tour (if they're not already)...

Then I see a rocky style sequel, where Apollo... Oops I mean floyd..(:P)...trains Conor to take on the evil Russian!

    Probably lomachenko or GGG...

(Not Russians, granted, but f*** it close enough... most of Conor's fans are too clueless to know the difference anyway!!) :D

I see Conor making the full time switch into boxing, where there is far more potential for a few more of these huge paydays!!!

Conor has talked about "dancing" around the ring with Floyd, for $100 million.... And I have a strong feeling that's what might happen here!

The most expensive tango in history!! :D

These pair of snake oil salesmen, are not to be trusted...

This proves Conor could say anything and his following will think he is hilarious. None of that is funny in any way .

Neither was Floyd although he can stuff that Conor will just have to take.

I expected better from McGregor but it just shows what a farce of a fight this is

Yeah it's pointless really .No matter what sorta **** either man comes out with some of the fans will eat it up no matter how stupid/unfunny it is. Neither will have to be a great comic/wit to get a laugh or cheer.

It is and I wouldn't believe that for a second either.I seriously doubt he does either.

Floyd KO was 11/10 this morning but I was too late to grab it so had to get it at evens thinking this was as good as it'll get. But with odds on Floyd ML drifting you'd expect everything to drift closer to fight date.

You were really lucky to get on this at evens. I've been waiting for this to drift back but it keeps going the other way. Best you can get now is 4/6 :(

He never denied hitting her I suppose it's his reasoning that she was out of her head on Cocaine and oxy and a danger to his kids. But that doesnt excuse it.

He was done for it more than once. Was it the same 'reason' for each, out of interest?

There is no other big pay day in boxing for Conor he is basically dining out on Mayweather rep/marketability.

Will anyone want to watch McGregor get destroyed by GGG or Lomac?

The guy makes a point though, they may want to see him get destroyed by them GGG if he was trained by Mayweather!

Why would bookies give best odds this far out from the fight, when they know full well that many punters will happily take rubbish odds now...!? ;)

Any serious bettors on this event, are not coming in until near the end...

Would he be in Mountjoy for beating women?

I'm not a fan of McGregor, per se, but I don't know what he has done to earn him a place on the sole of the show of a woman beater outside of speculation of his circumstances if he wasn't an MMA fighter.

More likely for his close friendship with the gangsters who are destroying parts of Dublin. What is it now 10-15 dead??

The odds on Floyd inside the distance are not coming back I am afraid. Bookies opened around evens and obviously a lot of serious money went on straight away. I am keeping an eye on Odds Checker every day and even any bookie momentarily offering 8/11 for example are getting picked off straight away.

For Example Paddy Power have some of the best odds on Floyd to win overall (and shortest on Connor) but aren't even taking bets on Mayweather inside the distance.

Clearly there is lots of small money on Conor to win but lots of big money on Floyd KO/TKO/DQ...

What demographic are you talking about?

I thought he was much better than McGregor on the mic.

But to be honest Press conferences in general are bull****.

McGregor has nothing on Floyd to make him the bigger star, he hasnt won more, he hasnt brought in more money, he's not getting paid more than Floyd. He hasnt got a better record.

He literally has nothing on Floyd that he can claim to be better on. Maybe filing his tax returns.

The demographic that would respond to his hard work chants. That was something else.

I think McGregor's witty advantage was well muted by turning off the mic.

10-15 people dead is hardly his fault ffs.

I'm no fanboy either but what a ridiculous comment.

Yes I do. That's what he said himself and I believe him.

$200m fight, "biggest" sporting event ever, huge money to be made from sponsorship etc. and you think Dana, Conor, or anyone didn't ask for a run-through of what the format would be???

Perhaps look at the context of the conversation, and what I was replying to. It is a hypothetical.

You are gullible of you don't realise how much Floyd needs to be in control.

It's not half as gullible as thinking McGregor didn't think he might need to say something at his press conference.

If you have the opinion that McGregor was funny and held his own last night that's fine.

My own opinion is the opposite, I thought McGregor would bring a little raz amatazz to the press conference's but was sadly disappointed by his showing last night.

Apologies if it's already been posted here but what are the viewing options available to us here in Ireland for this fight is it BT Sport or Sky Sports?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 785 ✭✭✭princemuzzy

He never denied hitting her I suppose it's his reasoning that she was out of her head on Cocaine and oxy and a danger to his kids. But that doesnt excuse it.

I think there is probably more to it than that too as the two weren't "together" at that point either and she's an absolute gem so no doubt there was jealousy issues there.

hes hit more than her though i think its something like 5 women have had him up on charges

Ya know this fight is sh*t when people are resorting to becoming Horatio Caine and on about criminal acts.
