It was going around they wanted 50% so they probably did settle on a 60/40 split. $60m its still gigantic money and he'll probably make more than that on this fight.

I'd say UFC are delighted with $40m.

What other fighter on the roster could guarantee them a $40m payday, with **** all outlay?

Aye, plus even if Conor just clips Mayweather a few times and / or wins one round...... the exposure for MMA/UFC that one of their fighters could do that is probably something they could never buy...... could very well result in them garnering a huge influx of fans that never had anytime for the sport before and merely just saw it as as barbaric cage-fighting.

My personal view - the final numbers from this fight will be gigantic with Conor making $120 million, UFC $80 million, Floyd $230 million, Showtime $90 million.

It's all guesswork we will have no idea until the PPV numbers come in but I'm in the camp that feels it will smash the MayPac record in North America. If it does that then they are all doing peachy because the worldwide distribution will bring in another couple hundred mil on top!

The "If you're not now, you will be after Mayweather ah ha ha" bit your man said at the end was the most sycophantic thing I've ever heard.

At the very end of my psychologist session today she asked what I was looking forward to and I said "Conor and Floyd press conference tonight will be good craic!".

She goes "Ok I don't know the first thing about either sport but I'm led to believe that Conor has as much chance of winning as he does of beating Usain Bolt in the 100 meters."

    Big mistake.

By the time I walked out she had been politely informed of a 2" reach advantage, 18lb weight difference, 12 year-age gap, a hybrid-karate stance, Floyd's inactivity, Conor's bullet-proof confidence and deceptive counters. :pac: :pac: :pac:

You shouldn't lead people on like that, thats cruel.

I hope you mentioned the 49-0 record and multiple world champions that Floyd has beaten, just for good measure.

Well that wouldn't surprise me - Mayweather Promotions would have been the company collecting the revenue off Showtime for PPV, and then they would be paying Floyd.

Seems like Dana picked up the phone to get Ariel kicked off covering the fight for Showtime. Not surprising

Jaysus that's fierce petty (not to mention vindictive) if true.

A few numbers to look out for on the Showtime youtube page later:

361,440 - That was what the Conor v Nate 1 Press Conference peaked at for Live Youtube Viewers.

1,234,000 - The number for the most Live watched Youtube video of 2017 (April the giraffe giving birth to a baby).

Now, obviously FS2 are showing the Press Conference Live in America so that'll take away a lot of viewers but I still think it should do good numbers.

    Yes it appears so.

From what I've seen, the format is that Dana White and Leonard Ellerbe will be taking Q's from 9-10 and then Conor-Floyd 10-11 but tbh I'm just basing that off journalists I follow on twitter, so I've no idea if it's true.

I thought Ariel was being a little weasel rushing to leak the brock news, he should have let everyone find out while watching the PPV. After him leaking the news then breaking down and crying like a baby ffs.

If I was Dana I wouldn't have even left him back into the press conferences.

There's nothing funny about it. He promoted the fight. There's a difference between his personal finances and those of a company he owns/controls.
