Danas always been a **** and always will be, he doesn't give a **** about anyone but himself.

So what time do we think this presser will start? No way they're both on time

Dana is supposed to be a great promoter, and for the most part he used to be, but why generate so many negative headlines?

All the headlines should be about Conor and Floyd, there shouldn't be even a small story about Dana and his childish beef with a journalist. It's just distracting from the event tonight.

I genuinely think the answer to that is as simple as he's an egotistical bellend.

The way he threw Nunes under the bus at the weekend was a disgrace, especially after how the UFC completely ignored her in the run up to 207.

I don't understand this mentality at all re: Brock.

Can you imagine if a journalist with the Washington Post was informed 2 days in advance that the FBI are going to charge Donald Trump Jr. with a crime?

Any journalist in the world is going to break that story. No, Ariel Helwani is not a hard hitting journalist and yes it's only a relatively small sport...

But the thing about someone losing their job...

Sorry but that's their own fault. Their employer was Dana White. They betrayed his trust by leaking information to the press.

We would all be sacked from any private sector job in this country if we took company secrets and leaked them to the press.

Blah. Half of Twitter is talking about Helwani now when they should be buzzing for Conor-Floyd.

    Well played Dana...

Journalists are not an extension of the UFC's PR team.
They are meant to criticise, praise, bring up discussion etc about the UFC as they see it and they are meant to break news stories (once sources are verified appropriately) just like every other journalist that cover sport/politics etc

Dana is being child as usual. He throws the fighters under the bus constantly as well.

Dana only gets to do this because Ariel is not very powerful in other areas of the media..... but the bigger UFC becomes then the bigger journalists and networks will be covering UFC nights......... so what would he do one day down the road if an ESPN journalist broke a story similar to the Brock one...... not a damn thing is the answer as it would be up to him the find the leak and clean up his own house rather than look for a scapegoat....... the fact that Ariel has been part of the rise in popularity of the UFC and helping to increase the profile of UFC fighters...... just makes it all the more incredulous.

Hope someone calls Dana out on this during one of the pressers this week.

Any good journalist has a bit of sneaky arsehole in them. It's how they're good at their jobs.

Definitely a dick move by Dana though

Is Ariel barred from this one also?

What time is it kicking off? About 11 I'd say, Conor be late no doubt.

Does anyone have a link to the video where an American analyst on a boxing show said McGregor was a racist after showing a video of McGregor talking about a black boxer (Probably Mayweather) and say "The boy ............."??

I'm almost sure the analyst making the accusation is Skip Bayless. In the video another analyst (tall black guy) basically dismisses and says Baylis(?) is just being stupid.

It was doing the rounds a few months ago but can't find it anymore.

If it was Bayless (a renowned contrarian moron and troll) the other one was probably Stephen A. Smith.

exactly! I get its a different type of journalism but any other journalist gets a scoop like that hes rewarded, some of the decisions dana and co have been making lately its as if they dont want the sport going mainstream.

Think of it in football terms even, Gary neville breaks the lukaku transfer before its officially announced jose isnt going to have him thrown out of old trafford or get on to sky and get him sacked, absolute nonsense by dana

ESPN and Okamoto etc are complete sycophants. When it starts getting covered widely and thoroughly by real mainstream media with real journalists, like the NY or LA Times or the WaPo, Dana won't dare treat them the way he does Helwani and the like, as they'd rain an absolute **** storm of bad PR down on him.
