I wouldn't say it's obvious there IS a hape of people going to it, rather because the Irish tend to travel for these things, and McGregor fans tend to travel for these thing, it's assumed there WILL be a hape wanting to go, and airlines wanting to maximise profit.

But that's just splitting hairs, really.

Then Mayweather isn't 5 8", McGregor is 5 9" max by the looks of it. I'm 6 1" and a bit taller than him.

I'm not sure how tall Mayweather is but iv stood next to COnor on more than one occasion and he is no bigger then 5'9 at the very most,

Mayweather is shorter than his dad who was billed at 5'8.

I think the height difference will be around 2" but on top of that McGregor has very wide shoulders, long arms, huge melon of a head, big thighs etc. (relatively speaking)

He's definitely going to dwarf Mayweather. I think Mayweathers camp seen that Conor fought at 145 and just assumed he was about Floyd's size. If they knew how big he really was they would not have made it at 154.

Because I like many people have skeptical hypo eyes when people say Conor is 5;9".

You've absolutely lost me, Im a self confessed fanboy of McGregor doesnt mean im 100 all in on everything he does, couldnt give a ****e about the fight I wont see it, the delusion from non boxing fans has me perplexed.

And those are guys who would have "known how big he is".

Im not saying their estimates were off by 100lbs and 6" or something daft. Just that they have stood beside a lot of 145ers and he was bigger than their expectation.

The majority of fighters exaggerate their height by 1-2" and they assume everyone else does it to.

For example, Alvarez is billed at 5'10 and Conor was clearly bigger.
(edit - now that I check they have been billing Eddie at 5'9 lately rather than 5'10. McGregor was still noticeably bigger anyhow)

Yeah, I've already said he's 5 9" though

Anyways, it'll be interesting to see them side by side. Conor vs Alvarez was strange, and really highlights his size for someone who is only 5 9".

Alvarez is one of the more muscular guys at LW and Conor actually looked physically bigger than him in the cage.

I've stood next to him a couple of times, I'm 6 foot I wouldn't of said he was much shorter than me, couple of inches maybe. Floyd is absolutely tiny though and it doesn't help when he's constantly photographed in a group of 7 foot bodyguards. McGregor looks a lot bigger when he faces off as he throws his shoulders up into the air.

When he fought Dustin they where the same height and he is billed as 5'7,
I think as someone rightly said Conor has a very good posture so tends to look a bit taller.

Yep, that's a fair comment. We will see their relative sizes soon enough although I suspect there will be shenanigans with heels etc for the initial face-offs.
