    LOL.

If I was Irish I'd whine in a month of Sundays about the non-penalty. Which is exactly what this forum would have done until I was deaf.

    Great series. Great entertainment.

Good man, don't go over to the match thread by the way, a lot of NZ whiners there of whom you don't want to be made aware.

Steven Hansen apparently used the phrase about kissing his sister to describe the result.

Which makes me deeply concerned about how you Kiwis go about your home life....
He even qualified the statement ..... saying "there's nothing there" or something like that ......

He's a grumpy so and so .... wouldn't mind hearing one of his team talks.

Remembered by many in Wales for ignoring the obvious talent of Shane Williams until his hand was forced after the NZ game @WC 2003.

Incest seems to be all the rage in NZ these last few weeks...

It occurred to me in the build up that Rory Best has been on two Lions tours and didn't get a test cap in either.

I can't think of any recent players who would share this dubious honour?

I reckon it's Graham Rowntree who doesn't rate him.

Shame, at least he rebuilt his Lions reputation this time around after 2013.

I think the rule is if you draw the game, you get to kiss your sister

I found it bizarre that he was a member of the panel for Sky today. This is the final test. You're a senior player in the squad. Everyone is in the stands together for the game but Best doing media work?

    Really odd.

Kiwis are clearly really from Shelbyville.

Pretty sure the Sky interviewer phrased it exactly like that to Sam Warburton after the game. To his credit, he didn't contradict him by saying the draw was a disappointment.

Nope. We just develop collective amnesia and forget that the match ever took place. :pac:

I don't know about that. My only memory of Rory Best on this tour was that terrible line out at the end of the Blues game that lost the Lions the game. Pretty sure he came on in another game and lost us a lineout straight away, you can blame the jumpers too but ultimately it was his shacky throwing.

    Nope, we blame the lifters

We've been through that anyway after the blues game. And it wouldn't be unusual for there to be timing issues in the second game this group ever played together.

That's really harsh! He led the midweek team excellently. He missed maybe 3 or 4 lineouts in the whole tour. I certainly remember Owens being at least as bad and George, who had a good tour, had some bad moments yesterday as well.

Best was very unfortunate with his early appearances colouring the perception of him. Bar that initial game, his lineout throwing was on a par with the other two. He offers far more in his breakdown work, and is better in the scrum imo than George. He wouldn't have had the hooking problems that were seen in the 3rd test. He doesn't offer as much impact with ball in hand, but he's not a liability by any stretch.

It's certainly not dissimilar but if I remember right it was a bit of a contentious ban even with the Lions fans but after Burger not getting the red we didn't give that much of a ****e

One of the tweets in supporting Bakkies is from Jonathon Kaplan which is interesting. Has he retired fully?

Pretty strange commentary from Murray Mexted about SBW, can't find the full interview, so it's hard to know the context. Of all the things you could say about SBW, going after his religious beliefs seems rather stupid from someone with a position in the NZRU.

He's not a team player because he's a Muslim? That has to be the wierdest conclusion I've ever heard.

Any chance that he makes those hits because he played RL?

Obviously Mexted's take is a strange one that I'm sure he'll be in trouble for but I'm not really following this whole rugby league thing either. The tackle he made is totally illegal in rugby league as well and ironically enough one of his last actions in rugby league was to get banned for a similar tackle.

Hes just a bit of a liability.

Yeah, bit of a nasty side to him on the field imo

Sorry, I probably should have put a tongue in cheek smiley there. Even at a stretch, it makes more sense.

What a disgusting man, he should be kicked out of any role he has in NZ rugby for that. Religion has nothing to do with SBW's tackling

But a liability every team in the world would love to have, how much cards has he got for tackles anyways? I remember Nonu used to tackle in a similar way for a while, always seem to want to just smash someone

Which was clearly dangerous whatever about the legality.
