No chance he lands a clean and accurate shot with enough pop in 3 minutes?

Not for the money involved 😉

With the amount involved anything can happen

I'd say myself Floyd will play the Rocky 5 role here, past it, slow, sloppy, unnecessary risks, then will turn it on for old times, mid to late rounds, ko Conor

    Floyd you legend, best ever

    Conor did great

    I'll watch it though

McGregor into 7/2 now. This is some sort of sick joke

I agree. I reckon Floyd chills for a few rds and then gets to work..

But if he was a man on a mission I reckon he could get the KO-TKO in rd 1.

But he's not a man on a mission, he's a 40+ yr old Floyd about to make the easiest 200mill in his life, hence my original post, granted , I shouldn't have made it sound like a cert. He'll cruise to victory

    It is mad

Market is not wrong though, the fight stinks

    Anything can happen

Bit like Haye vs Bellew fight few months ago

Haye could have finished Bellew anytime he chose but dicked around to give fans the feeling of a real fight was taking place

It back fired spectacularly when he done his achilles

Not out of the question to imagine same could happen here

Floyd will have so little respect for Conor he can let him do whatever he wants for the majority of the fight knowing he can turn it on and totally outclass his opponent at anytime

If Vitali Klitscko was to come out of retirement tomorrow and fight Overeem I would put my house on Vitali, I wouldn't put a tenner on this fight, two snakes

That's just paddy power odds, you can still get 5s and 6s on McGregor

Fingers crossed he does, PP have a Gone in 60 seconds bet at 101/1 so banged a Tenner on it. It's gone right down to 34/1 now.

That's why I say muscle memory. He'll find it so instinctual to lands shots. Ok maybe..maybe 2/3/4rounds of MW biting his tongue then...goodnight nurse. Soften up the body (which has anyone mentioned?) and take him out upstairs. This thread is getting boring.

One of the Reasons I think Mayweather could open up on McGregor and try finish it in the RD 1 ,Is McGregor's pre fight comments and actions ,you know he is going to go over the top at one of the press conference /weight-in etc which could lead to a very pissed off and driven Mayweather getting in the ring.

Also as I say before will be very interesting to see how McGregor can take/deal with a few body shots from a Pro boxer.

Floyd doesn't get pissed off. There's rarely a more calm fighter in the ring than Floyd. Conor isn't a unique snowflake that'll change that. Floyd's very calculated, there's no reason for him to end the show in round 1. A prolonged beating where he lands every punch he throws over a few rounds before stopping him would be far more impressive. If he landed a beaut in the first that ended the fight you'd have clowns saying it's a fluke punch and calling for a rematch.

Yes, but if he sets the KO up with dominance and clear distinction between him and Conor then the fluke call becomes completely useless. So, 2-3 minutes of showing a clear gulf in class and then boom.

To you or I that would be of course perfect logic, but to others I am not so sure. I feel a Gatti style beatdown is the only way to shut the clowns up indefinitely.

What's the deal with Floyd's xylocaine injections? Does he take them for pre-existing pain in his hands? Must still hurt like hell when you break your hand during a fight.

Given mcgregors best hope is catching floyd with a counter left I'd imagine he wants floyd to come out swinging with emotion, floyd is too smart for that though, first handful of rounds will be very tentative the two guys trying to figure each other out.

thought the nsac stopped him from doing that in the run-upp to the berto fight?

How many idiots does it take to create a fake action shot Instagram post.

Strikes me as poor form to release pictures of yourself landing on sparring partners. I hope they get paid a little extra for that.

They build hype and confidence around him to the gullible hes hardly gonna post shots of him getting smacked around.

I should of explained it better . They think its looks good but he is standing square to him and his right guard is horrific

It's just weird to see precisely timed pictures like that of sparring with the partner's head snapped back, sweat flying through the air. Seems distasteful.

Its normally frowned upon alright but I'm sure they know why he is doing it and they are happy with the exposure

Never said he come out swinging with emotion ,pissed off and driven ....to put him in his place there is a vast difference , And if he does come out determine to put him in his place ,i'm predicting a very short time frame ,, 8/ 9 or 10 shot Compo to body and head ..just can't see McGregor having the BOXING SKILL or Experience to deal with it.

    Just my 2cent.

Wait, didn't you say at the start of the thread:

I'd expect McGregor's left hand to ko Mayweather in 6, hes used to 5min rounds in mma so the 3minute ones would increase his power output.

Why the huge swing in opinion?
