Loins have only gone and annoyed the AB's, in for a hell of a time next week....

As a matter of interest do people reckon the players will imbibe much alcohol after game?....surely NZ will be tucking themselves up in bed dreaming of ways to win in third test.

So it would be counterproductive for Lions to go on the rip as regards game recovery time.

They're off to Queenstown to get out of the spotlight for a few days. Few drinks I'd say nothing mad, well deserved win or lose really.

Reporting from Scotland here ... happy out in the majority, would have won by more with Scots in the team.

Chris Paterson would have knocked over that conversion.

They'll have a day off for recovery anyway, it wouldn't have a negative effect.

But in terms of focus I'd imagine the message from Gatland and Warburton will be that this is only half time and there's nothing to celebrate yet.

That's my thinking...they need to focus on next week.

O'Brien is playing career best rugby right now. I think he's been brilliant in both tests. When he's fit he's a level above any backrow in Ireland and imo the best flanker in the NH. World class player

O Brien is the only forward who would be guaranteed to get in the All Black pack. And I think most Kiwis wouldn't fight that assertion.

He looks to have trimmed down a bit too. One of his first half breaks he took off like a ton of bricks, I've never seen a turn of pace in the same planet as that before by him

He was no better than Cane today and Kaino's hugely popular.

Cane is more of a dog at the breakdown, but O Brien is more physical in defence and a better carrier, while still being pretty handy around the breakdown. I'm not sure what you could point at in Kaino's game that makes him a better player.

Murray is the first NH player in history to score 4 test tries against the ABs
That's mad, is that true? (Edit: My fact checking extends to asking the original source to repeat the claim)

Sorry I missed you on this. On ESPN stats you can use an advanced filter to find every player who has scored v the ABs and how many they have scored.

What are the chances of Sean O'Brien getting cited? Didn't think it was deliberate?

Don't think there was anything in it but haven't watched it back.

Deliberate doesn't have to come into it, does it? It's purely whether the incident warranted a possible red card (which it didn't), so he's safe.

Nah, referee himself reviewed it and decided nothing in it.

SOB completely outplayed Cane today.

SOB has been the best player for the Lions in aggregate over the two tests imo.

Wondered this myself. I only saw one replay and it was inconclusive, but other angles could be more damning.

Intention doesn't come into it. For example I don't really believe SBW intended to shoulder Watson on the head, he was wreckless though and showed no duty of care, therefore it was a straight red due to the fact contact was on the head.

Intention does come into it during the disciplinary process. Intent doesn't come into it on the field of play.

Agree. I won't lie back in the build up to the squad announcement I wouldn't have brought him myself to be honest, I thought Robshaw deserved a gamble at the time as he was so instrumental for England at 6 under Jones until his injury

He's completely proved me wrong though and good on him, he's been a true colossus. While the early warm ups were all about the likes of Vunipola, Kruis and Teo standing out against inferior and perhaps (lets be honest) under-motivated opponents, SOB has completely stood up and been counted against the best team on the planet - twice

Thought that myself too, he (O'Brien) is noticeably slimmed down in Sky's line up graphic where they walk to the camera and fold their arms.

He's certainly carrying significantly less bodyfat it seems

Jamie George is another I noticed too. He was a proper fattie in his early days, but he's fit as a fiddle now. Smashing player

He is up in 20 minutes. Just looked at the footage again, it was very innocuous. Would have been probably the harshest red card I can remember seeing.
