I understand they are network owners. I had only tried because two other posters said that Open Eir had responded to them with respective ftth dates.
OpenEir don't deal with the public, they are the network owners not a provider.

Kn crews busy for the last two days putting up fibre in Laragh & Clonfert, no splice boxes yet but spotted thus dogey bit in Laragh...A nice storm will snap the fibre!!

I emailed fibrepower@openeir.ie and got a response within the hour to give me an updated date for connection.
    Hope this helps....

Wow you're only seeing action now? It was scheduled to be finished in Patrickswell by Q2 '17 - they have another day to meet that deadline - LOL.

I checked the map a few weeks ago and it was pushed for another Qtr.

Strange the map is down I just checked navi's tracker over on another thread - he updates it regularly and it was q2 17 the latest? Are you saying it was q3 17 or pushed from q1 to q2 17? Way too many of the exchange areas are getting pushed back it's way off track overall. Galway I think and Wexford were the only 2 counties in reasonable shape.

Summer/Autumn 2017 now. Was q2 17 up to last week or 2 weeks ago.

Right - it's hilarious how they don't stick to one standard updating the map - constantly trying to cover up a faltering 300k 2018 deadline. If only they put more bodies on the ground instead of fudging a website.

Navis tracker for those interested - has a nice % breakdown of completion per county.
Limerick is well behind at 9% but whats going on with our neighbours in tipp?

Typical Tipperary at 1%. I understand they've to start and end somewhere with the roll-out but my exchange was due to be done in June 2017 and know they've pushed it back to Autumn 2017. Not only this but they brought forward other exchanges into the Autumn 2017 bracket. Classic eir:D

This rollout is about as much fun as watching paint dry! It'll be a serious disappointment to lots of us promised proper broadband by eoy 2018.
Could we get a billion offa Theresa May too?

There are still 2 counties sitting on 0%. The rollout seems to have slowed down again back to what it was like before March. We will be lucky if 100,000 are completed by Christmas by the way things are going.

I emailed them last week and got a response indicating the end of November. Our area had slipped a number of times, so I just sighed and settled in to wait.

Lo and behold, an Eir rep came to the door yesterday and signed me up for the end of July! The fibre is hanging from the poles since the end of last year, but no 'black boxes' and no further work beyond a bit of tree trimming.

    So .... we'll see .... I just can't allow myself to get excited :o

Haven't checked the rollout map in a few months, there used to be the blue line about 500m from my house, now it's yellow, does that mean it's not FTTH or?

Blue became yellow around the time eir committed to the 300k rollout.

They just change the colour from blue to yellow still mean FTTH or FTTC if your one of the 10%.

Thanks, just found the FAQ. It's stopping about 500m away, they're saying will need to wait for the NBP to kick in to get 1000mb?

Sometime after 2018, NBP contracts yet to be awarded.

Just measured there on google maps 355m by road, would the KN lads be able to go further?

What does the NBP map indicate for your eircode - http://www.dccae.gov.ie/en-ie/communications/topics/Broadband/national-broadband-plan/high-speed-broadband-map/Pages/Interactive-Map.aspx

If you're in the amber area you'll have to wait for the NBP, they won't go further.

Feck it, 3 houses up will get it but I'm in the amber.

Updates from the Inch St. Lawernce Limerick exchange. The roads due south of the exchange location are being wired up this week. This includes the various Ballybricken townlands Luddenmore, Rochestown and Caherally. I hope that they be heading north to my location next week. It's is 2 weeks ago since the poles were marked by an OpenEir engineer. You can scroll up to my previous posts on the comprehensive coverage of ftth rollout throughout my home exchange area. I probably will do a road trip to get the latest on the area and Pallasgreen on Sunday.

We've probably passed each other around Pallasgreen - slowly driving and staring up at the poles and wires...! :-)
I do a weekly trip around the area to see what areas are done.

From Pallasgreen village (for about 1.5 miles) heading towards Tipperary, there is roadside digging going on for the underground ducting, so a little more progress is happening.

2 of the biggest rollout areas in limerick - I can see that going for many more months. Clarina is still not finished. It's very slow progress for such an ambitious deadline.

Pallasgreen is 25% live for 2 months now. Im assuming 25% more (those with splice boxes up for a month now) will go live soon. The remaining 50% only God knows when it will complete.

I wouldn't trust the Eir rep, OpenEir info I would say is more accurate

Spoke to a KN installer recently who said something like the last 6 jobs he did he had to fail them. Eir were allowing customers to order, which resulted in him arriving at customer's house to wire up last bit of fibre for install only to find the fibre that was run to the customer was still dark as work further down the line still not completed. He said it happens all the time. Would give the impression OpenEir or Eir don't know themselves what's completed or not. Obviously sending install engineers out when the line isn't ready is keeping nobody happy.
