What is the closest thing to a Luxobarge in estate/SUV format?

Lexus RX probably fits the criteria just about or you might get a 2004/2005 Porsche Cayenne around the €5k.

Range Rover, X5, Q7, Porsche Cayenne, Landcruiser Amazon,

Finding many in the <5k bracket that still work fully will be tough though, as long as its running a 4x4 always has some decent value.

Can someone explain the value on the CLS? That's a lot of car for not much money. It can't just be the car tax!

There were a lot of them sold, a lot. There is very little demand for them now...

Fair play, Cartman. That ad has disappeared - probably a scam.

The last production car to come with a tape player. Not pretty, and not a luxobarge...

Regarded (by top gear magazine at least) as one of the worst cars you could buy at the time.

I thought this was interesting, but not so much to deserve a post in the "here's what I saw" thread. Barge earning its keep near Rathgar. I thought it might be at least a 600h but its a '460.

I suppose if your spending the day sitting on your hole you might as well do it in as comfortable seat as you can :D

Can't LPG an LS460 as it's got a fancy dual injector system with both indirect and direct injection. Older Ls430 is a doddle to convert

6th generation LPG injection - in liquid form - can leverage the existing petrol injectors.

NO price, so probably doesn't qualify, but I couldn't resist posting it...

That's fine for 4 pot engines with dedicated kits that are direct injection only, but the LS460 has 8x direct injectors and also 8x indirect = 16!

It would cost a small fortune to convert as I rekon you would need to go with 2x kits, a standard indirect 8 cylinder kit and a heavily modified 8 cylinder direct injection kit (eg Audi A8 4.2) and a serious amount of plumbing and wiring work to get both systems working together.
