I know the presenters bang on about it all the time, but when you go to Glastonbury it really does have a special atmosphere.

Seeing Bowie and Nine Inch Nails in 2000 holds great memories for me :)

    It's a dream and a nightmare.
    Just the sheer size.
A fully stocked air ambulance is what I'd need to ferry me round the 4 days.

Lauren Laverne should have announced a reunited Kenickie as special guests :D

Absolutely love that song 'Mirrorball' by Elbow. One of these days I'll get around to getting one of their albums.

Johnny Depp is what Elbow needed.

I don't really like this notion of 'Surprise Guests',

It's grand if you like Elbow and you happen to be there at the time, but there's probably people stuck at the other end of Worthy Farm who would love to have seen Elbow who won't know they were on stage until they are finished.

Not a fan of Elbow, but I like the way Guy can get the crowd going.

"Oi, Guy - Hurry up and do One Day Like This so we can run over to the Pyramid Stage before Radiohead start"

Radiohead are about to rock Glastonbury and become Emperor of the Universe.

There actually is a band called The Special Guests.

They must be gutted at having to play the Flatbed Truck stage.

If I didn't have my phone did it really happen.

Security just off camera "I don't care if you really are Johnny Depp, you could be Keith Richards and you still won't get on stage"

Dizzee Rascal on BBC Four now, which will be a surprise to anyone tuning in expecting to see The Good Old Days.

Just as an aside to Glasto for a second

Not sure why Mir is interviewing Robert Plant. But we live in a World where BBC Radio 2 had former Labour Leader Ed Miliband interviewing Napalm Death Lead Singer Barney Greenway during the week

I like how the BBC Glasto Presenters genuinely seem to appreciate they are the luckiest people in the World getting paid to do a Job most people would pay highly to do.

Loved the first night, no interuptions while radiohead were on. Fair play to the BBC, I know all the issues with license fees etc in Ireland but that was money well spent if we paid for a BBC license. RTE on the other hand...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 78,712 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

Surprised they didn't play 'I Promise', as it has been getting a lot of radio airplay at the moment (even on BBC Radio 2).

Good acoustic version of 'Up The Junction' by Messrs. Difford and Tilbrook on BBC2 now.

    More kazoo! :D
