Well you already revealed you know nothing about either with this gem.

Muting you was problematic seeing as you're being quoted every 2nd post.

Do yourself a favour and go watch 50 MMA fights and educate yourself.

    educate yourself.

Oh Christ, there it is. I thought this had been consigned to history but apparently it lives on.

My mate was talking to Conor in town last night he told him he released that sparring video and let it be recorded to hood wink people to think he was muck, wasnt trying he said, makes sense it was that bad.

    Eating in Rustic?

I wish Conor's mates would stop flexing their muscles in every single photo. Put your arms down by your sides ffs you're not fighters and nobody cares about your 'guns'.

I think your the one that a bit confused tbh. Go back and read my post, and the one I quoted. Because nothing you've said there is relevant. I don't know it mixed me up with somebody eles, or just forgot what you actually wrote.

I made no mention of Floyd beating AJ.
For the record, he has no chance. 0%.

I'm talking completely, and solely about you claims that Floyd would be able to pull off kicks and the like if he gave it ago.
I haven't made any comment about his chances in MMA, which would be >0% for the record.

It's essentially the exact same logic as people thinking that Conor can hold his own in pro boxing just because he punches people in MMA.
And you're questioning other people knowledge of size/combat sports. Lolololol

Well, if you are making no mention of Floyd vs. AJ then why bother quoting my posts about it.....?

Anyway, most of my reply still stands as correct.

Floyd has a better chance to beat Conor in MMA than AJ in boxing.

    Leave it there.

Are people genuinely not well in the head? Floyd would need a step ladder to even hit Joshua on the head. Of course he's a better shot against Conor under MMA rules.
I would have thought that went without saying tbh. The size difference is ridiculous.

Floyd has 0% chance verses AJ
Conor has 0% has against Miocic, for the same reasons.

Floyd has a >0% chance vrs Conor in MMA.
Conor has a >0% chance vrs Floyd in boxing.
People will disagree on exactly watch >0% equals. But to each their own there imo, it's not really relevant.

But just because Floyd has a chance in MMA doesn't mean he is capable of using any techniques than boxing. That's absolutely ridiculous. Exactly the same as saying Conor could suddenly display elite boxing skills.

Joey Diaz made that shout in the past. Said that stuff just doesn't get out unless people want it to get out. I was skeptical but not so much now

EDIT: On the other hand that is some serious thinking ahead and a waste of an opportunity to get good sparring with van heerdan. Unless they sparred many times?

    .

That is where you are wrong. Conor has a better chance. The size is a huge obstacle, but Conor has a better chance to do damage should he land on the UFC champion with 4 oz gloves, or kicks, or elbows etc.

Are you seriously saying the chances that Floyd scores a fluke KO are the same as Conor scoring it?

Weigh it up. Floyd's chance is 0..

Conor can also kick and elbow and knee the UFC champion. Floyd cannot kick or elbow or knee AJ.

Why is this so clear to me, and not you, an MMA fan?

Conor's chance to land (with effect and authority) on the UFC champion are greater and his chance to do damage are greater, and his options of other strikes are greater.

    It's so simple..

And I need to stress that Conor's chance is very slim...

Because your post made a ridiculous claim.
I was pointing out the ridiculous claim, as I was one of the poster questioning the "mores ways to win" logic.
Are you saying I can only call you on nonsense if I disagree with the entire post? Sorry, but that's not how it works.

It caught my eye because it was the second time you'd said it. The first time was a few days ago, completely separately to the AJ stuff.

There was no nonsense. My posts are clear and cannot be nonsense.

In MMA there are more options available for combat, and for a win. That is fact, not nonsense.

Nobody sane will dispute that Floyd would get killed by AJ and Conor would get killed by Stipe.

The only reason people are talking about it is Walshb is deluded into thinking Conor has a better chance against Stipe in MMA than he does against Floyd in boxing.

Which, of course, is silly on every level and was being used to try demean Conor/MMA.

As for Conor/Floyd crossing over, there is one fundamental difference. Conor's background, however limited, was in boxing. Obviously he has since become an accomplished grappler, BJJ brown belt, proficient in muay thai, capoeira etc.

Floyd has no background in wrestling or jiujitsu, so Conor does intrinsically have a better chance of doing ok at boxing than Floyd has of doing ok transitioning to MMA or directly to one of the unique martial arts i.e. Floyd wouldn't last 20 seconds against any blue belts in BJJ nevermind someone like Gordon Ryan.

People need to realise that MMA is being absolutely trashed in the media in recent days and weeks. It's back to being called 'barbaric' and denigrated in mainstream media outlets worldwide. Ignorant boxing folks like Teddy Atlas comparing the skills necessary in MMA to 'caveman stuff'.

Nobody is under any obligation to defend MMA or to correct people when they say stupid stuff like Walshb has been saying. But a lot of people, including myself, are tremendously grateful for MMA and I'd rather defend it than shrug my shoulders. Nothing wrong with that.

The chance is the same for both. 0%

Serious question, but have you actually seen the guy you are talking about?
The fact you keep saying "the UFC champion" and not his name makes me think not.

Yes Conor will have on little gloves, and will be able to kick, etc. But so will his opponent, is that not obvious?

I have seen him, and I have posted his name....just lazy to type it when UFC champion is easier to type.

To suggest both chances are identical is wrong. I clearly showed you why and said why. It's a very simple breakdown.

I do watch MMA bouts...I also do read up on it.

His foe being able to do all the same as Conor is irrelevant. The fact that Conor can do these things is the relevance as regards his chance being greater than Floyd's.

    It's very simple - you haven't a clue what you're talking about.

AJ would laugh at Floyd's hardest shot.
Stipe would laugh at Conor's hardest shot.

Oh so Conor can kick and elbow Stipe? How do you propose Conor elbows Stipe in the head when he's 6 foot 4? Where do you want him to elbow him, in the shins?

Floyd won't be laughing if Conor connects with his hardest shot, he'll be doing the chicken dance.

Wow, another strawman from walshb, shocking.

Yes there are more option in MMA. Like Muay, wrestling, jiu jitsu.
Floyd Mayweather does not know jiu jitsu. The fact the option for jiu jitsu exists doesn't mean he'll suddenly develop those skills. This is simple stuff man.

All the elite boxing skills Conor is lacking. They'll still be options in August, whether he can do them or not.

Conor has more chance of KO'ing Floyd than he does of KO'ing Stipe (in any sport). Simple.

10oz gloves. Not a trained boxer. Mayweather only ever really wobbled by one of the greatest boxers of the last 20 years in Mosley.

I think he means in an MMA bout with 4 oz gloves.

If you tied Floyd's hands behind his back and Conor lands his hardest, most accurate punch, Floyd will be unconscious.

If you tied Stipe's hands behind his back and Conor lands, Stipe will say "that's cute Conor please untie me now".

    .

If you tied Stipe's hands behind his back and Conor lands, Stipe will say "that's cute Conor please untie me now".

You may be overestimating Stipe's head and neck and chin or underestimating Conor's power?

    What is it?

Like I said, you seem to be unable to grasp the idea of combat sports. It doesn't always take a huge shot from a small man to KO a big man.

    Think about that.....

Hands tied, free power shot given.......I might just bet that Conor hurts and drops Stipe...

I do agree that Floyd likely goes to sleep.

That's factually wrong. Maidana buckled his legs. So did Judah.

Anyway, you think Conor's power won't translate if he does connect clean on the chin? We've no evidence either way but I think it will.

The reason you posted was that Conor has a chance to knock him out with little gloves, elbows, etc. That's not proof of anything. It's like saying Floyd could win by knocking out AJ.
The reality is that he couldn't. Just like Conor couldnt. Stipe has taken shots from Roy Nelson, Mark Hunt, Overeem, all in 4oz gloves.
Conor best left hand landing flush doesn't generate close to power as a 265 lb heavyweight. I can't believe I'm have to actually write this.

Didn't you just post an hour ago slagging people for not understanding how size works in combat sports.

Right so if Conor's best free power shot only maybe hurts Stipe.....

And Conor's best free power shot likely puts Floyd to sleep......

Then you've just agreed that Conor has more chance to KO Floyd than he does Stipe.

Anyway there's no point debating it with you, if Conor lands anything solid on August 26th I'll see what effect it has on Floyd if any.

Maidana hurt him. Mosley properly staggered him, even if it was only momentarily.

No, I don't think it will. If the greatest boxers in the world can't really hurt him, I can't see a novice doing so. Again, there are levels to this. McGregor can clearly punch. Can be punch with the necessary power, technique and accuracy to hurt Mayweather? I don't think so but as you say, no evidence.
