Whats the story with the video of Connor in a restaurant with watches on the table roaring at the staff thats going round on social media

    a) he was asked questions about boxing and answered them. There's nothing ignorant about not having an interest in MMA.

The definition of ignorance is being asked about an MMA fighter and knowing completely nothing about MMA.

You need to be a little more specific before you throw around these claims...

Ok. In a one-on-one street fight between Conor and Floyd, unless Floyd has a weapon his chances of not ending up dead are about 0.00001%. And that chance is him catching Conor with the perfect uppercut as Conor shoots in for a double-leg.

If he doesn't hit that perfect shot that KO's Conor cold, he is double-legged onto his back, mounted and choked out. He can do zero when it hits the ground.

Just doesn't seem to be hitting home with you. It's a street fight! No rules....

MMA has rules. Plenty in MMA you are not permitted to do....have a think about some of the stuff....

Here's a list of people who, so far, say Conor *CAN* win. Emphasis on "can", not "will":

    Steve Collins
    Freddie Roach
    Al Iaquinta
    Dan Hardy
    Jason Quigley
    Stitch Duran
    Eddie Alvarez
    Brendan Schaub
    Chris Weidman
    Joe Rogan
    Conor Wallace
    GSP

But what would all these people know when we have internet experts stating he has a 0% chance.

So when these lads say Conor has a chance you're all like "oh yeah guys look here they said he can win we must take notice". But when Jessie Vargas an unbiased boxer says it's a noncompetitive freak show he's ignorant and arrogant towards MMA. Get in the f*cking bin.

In a street fight Floyd or one of his goons shoots him and proceeds to Kirk stomp his skull

It doesn't sink in your head.

Repeat after me: There is nothing Floyd can do to save himself in a street fight.

He can't bite Conor, eye gouge him, head butt him, whatever is going through your mind.

By the time Floyd even considers the above he'll be on his back getting choked out.

I'm also muting you for a) your ignorance and b) my sanity.

Vargas is ignorant and arrogant about MMA because he clearly states he knows nothing about MMA in the same interview.

    You're also muted.

    Street Fight = no rules
Stating one on one street fights, you seem to be adding rules :pac:

If you're in a street fight the number one thing you avoid (besides avoiding the whole fight) is ending up on the ground as you're likely to take boots to the head

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,131 ✭✭✭Burial.

He could 'mute' all of us and he'd still be arguing with himself five pages later about how Conor McGregor could build the pyramids and win WWII with his left hand while holding up money with his right hand. Obsessed and delusional.

Wonder what percentage chance do you give McGregor of winning?

To be fair he has some kind of chance. Like when Haye messed his leg up vs Bellew. Floyd could mess his leg up in the first round and not be able to move for the rest of the fight, Floyd could break both of his hands, Conor might get a hail mary lucky punch and KO him. Can't be any more than 1% of a chance though, can't believe Conor is 4/1 should be more 50/1 at least :pac:

Yes, but some are giving him a straight up chance whilst disregarding these possibilities....That chance being the KO shot, and I guess some really obstinate folks may even think that Conor wins by out-boxing and outfighting Floyd over 12...

Barring a freak injury or a DQ or the deliberate losing of the fight, Conor has a ridiculously slim chance. Of course, not 0, as nothing in life is ever a guarantee really.

    It's definitely not.

    What you said was:
In a nutshell, that interview sums up boxing and boxing fans.

Generalisations. Spoofing. Bull****. One fighter answering a question he was asked and you take this from it? I imagine there are a vast number of boxing fans that are infinitely more clued in about MMA than you. The only thing that quote proves is that Jessie Vargas doesn't give a ****e about MMA and doesn't want to give a ****e about MMA. Why the **** are you taking it all so personally?!

You are talking nothing but ****e here and getting ultra defensive over absolutely nothing.

Did you watch the clip or not?

You're trying to tell me that had anything to do with Judah being a world champion?

We have a ton of evidence if any human being stands stationary and flat-footed in front of Conor that he will land that left hand.

Are you trying to say its not? Judahs hands were lightening fast, not comparable with McGregor.

You're making this out that McGregor can land if the stars are aligned and if Mayweather just suspends all of his reactions speeds and second natures. You are on a different planet if you stand by this.

Its one thing to stick up for McGregor, its another thing altogether to try and make it out that that he compares to some of Mayweathers previous opponents, have you seen the list of WORLD CHAMPIONS he has beaten?

You've spent over a year now contributing next to zero to this forum other than trolling me and Conor fans, so you're in no position to be slating anyone.

I think it's right to call out boxing people who say stupid things about our sport. Vargas said stupid things. Teddy Atlas said stupid things. Max Kellerman said stupid things. Walshb said plenty of them.

There's an arrogance going through the entire boxing world. An arrogance that comes from a position of ignorance.

You're not an MMA fan anyway so I don't expect you to understand any desire to defend a sport you love.

    We'll see.

What was that other meme about? What % chance do you give Floyd in a street fight against Conor? (No weapons, no third parties. they are alone in the middle of a street).

I haven't trolled you once. I simply happen to disagree with you. Get over it.

I'm not an MMA fan? How do you know? Our sport? Who is the "we" here?! Is there a membership form or something? Or do I have to have watched a certain number of cards from non mainstream promotions?

You're really ****ing grasping at this.

I'm a much bigger MMA fan than a boxing one, and a huge McGregor fan and the only shot I give McGregor is a freak injury to Mayweather and some crazy KO that I can't even imagine how it would occur. McGregor will land a few but mostly to the arms and glancing blows

Am I being disparaging to 'our' sport?

If Mayweather doesn't get him out of there he loses credibility in being able to call himself the best.
