Did anyone ever notice that while driving on the M18 Shannon to Gort that is never the roadsign banning 'L' drivers or the sulky racers. The only time I've seen it is around the Limerick City bypass.

Also is there any sign of the N17 continuing on past Tuam and onto Sligo?

There will be no extension of the N17 this side of 2025 anyway.

Is the Kilmore roundabout operating like the Mountpotter roundabout was up to a few weeks ago or is it still just one side open?

Out of interest, has an estimated travel time been given, of a journey from Galway city to Limerick city, on the new road, vs. what it is now?

Just heard Roadbridge to have all work completed on their section before they go on holidays < race week>, bypass is complete can be opened whenever the public service get their finger out!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 114 ✭✭Baldilocks

Can anyone tell me why the southbound carriageway seems to be significantly ahead of the the northbound one? (Idle curiosity)

I can see myself travelling Cork-Westport just to use it, when it opens! Perhaps even a day trip!

Anybody know when the Tuam bypass section will be open? Absolute pain in the you know what going through Tuam just to get to N17 Business Pk coming from the Milltown direction. Will be great when it is finally open save 10 minutes each way.

The M18 should be starting at 0km from Rathmorrissey, all the way to ~100km at the Rossbrien Interchange where the N18 ends and becomes the M7/M20 in Limerick.

The distance also reads the same on both sides of the road. Are those 10km signs near Rathmorrisey?

Those signs are 1.5kms south of rathmorissy, sisk is the only section that has those signs so the will have to change them all rathmorissy to coldwood which is 5kms 18 in total
