Cos its not your house, right? It belong to everyone. So what if your parents owned it! So what if you worked for it! So what if you built it! So what if you want it to go to YOUR children!

You wont have a problem with that will you?

Oh but let me guess, "that's different" because reasons. Simpleton logic.

Ah yeah, they're EXACTLY the same.

You must have some firm grasp of history there.

    Let's have a game...

    Samantha Mumba, one of "ours"?
    Ibrahim Halawa, one of "ours"?
    Leo Varadkar, one of "ours"?

    Simpleton logic is right.

Why are people who are accusing other people of being blind or ignorant of history suggesting a big long list of things (interment, forced deportation) that have historically not only never worked but been completely counter productive?

Why are people who are saying they're trying to protect Western democratic values advocating spy networks, imprisonment without trial, religious persecution?

Why are the people who think they've got the whole thing sussed being played by terrorists like a fcuking fiddle? This is EXACTLY the reaction the extremists want; the more hostility and distrust there is towards Muslims the better for them, the easier it is to radicalise people. They're doing their level best to get the Tories elected right now and judging by this thread people are actually ****ing stupid enough that it will probably work.

Pretty great point from someone above, why not just pull a hungary on it?

Why wouldnt that work for us?

And for any remaining nuts already here in Europe, begin a campaign of zero-tolerance to chuck them out.

Sounds simple, and if theres any "inflammation" from those actions, all the better, even more bad eggs identified to chuck out. That's getting to the root of the problem, clearing out shop. Sends the important message that this country (or whichever country) belongs to its own people, and if youre allowed to come here and live here, then you know what youre in for.

So you want to ban a religion and "chuck out" bad eggs to *anywhere*.

    Cool plan. Will totally work.

The Labour approach to this and to many of the ultra fascists who ascribe to it was not forced on them by the Tories.

    They chose it themselves.

The Tories are going to win irregardless.

FRANCE HELPS IRAQI MILITARY FIND, KILL FRENCH CITIZENS WHO JOINED ISIS, REPORT SAYS

    http://www.newsweek.com/france-help-iraq-military-find-kill-citizens-isis-report-617894

This is a promising development. I have no ethical or moral problems with this approach whatsoever. I hope the British, Germans, and Belgians employ the same tactics and annihilate their treasonous citizens.

If it means death squads, so be it. The gloves are off, now let loose the dogs of war.

Or is it they see people in the west as being soft targets because people would prefer to go out with candles after people are killed

Some of the reasons why this is happening:

-Education and the university system dominated by left wing losers. Teach critical theory and postmodernism on steroid nonsense to smart but not very smart people. These are also the people that end up as your artists, your writers, your musicians. Result is that everyone is a 'victim' these days. People go around having that little bit more hate for each other.

-Importing a group of people who on the whole, have a lower IQ than the native population. Because IQ is a powerful indicator of success and because the west is becoming increasingly tech heavy and tech dominated, there are an increasing amount of people being excluded from society. This creates more hatred and bitterness and an inability to integrate with the native population.

-The upper classes are becoming more and more isolated from the middle and working classes. Plus, the tendency of socialists not to like poor or working class people, but to be envious of those who have wealth. The bubble that has created in these two directions leads to more bitterness and resentment because a Trinity College educated law degree AO civil servant has no conception of a Traveller problem in rural Mayo or a multicultural problem in North County dublin, to use Irish examples.

-Some parts of modern life are soul sucking. There are more and more mentally unwell people and society is become very nihilistic. Fianna Fail leader Michael Martin saying that national soverignty is an outdated concept for example. When your people are depressed, they tend to become more conflict avoidant, or more willing to engage in self sabotaging behavior.

-The increase of a criminal gang situation in Rotherham/Roschdale etc creating a group of mentally ill people. Plus the inability of these gangs/pimps to be arrested. Social worker makes a complaint, could lose the job due to being racist or facing a group of lads hanging around the house, "shame if something was to happen, don't you know".

This is a systemic problem. There's a lot to unravel and it won't end well.

Civil war/takeover/deportations. This is where things will converge. All it is is a part of the tide of history.

Ah would you stop with the scare tactics. 8 attacks in 12 years.
    That's a lot of attacks.
This is the 3rd one in the UK this year.
If things continue on the way they are then the UK is looking at having multiple terrorist attacks every year.
I see there's a problem, but I refuse to be scared by it. I don't really see how that's so hard to understand?
Good for you not being scared, but many people are, it's an acceptable response.
There's no point in trying to ignore understandable feeling in case the terrorists may "win".
It's blown up entirely out of proportion, and when you try to show how things aren't that bad, actually, you get accused of whataboutery and relativism.
Special forces were deployed onto the streets by a helicopter and you trying to claim people are blowing it out of proportion.
And yes posters are right to call you out on your whataboutery.
A lot of posters here are a bunch of Chicken Little's who need to chill out.
Can you not debate the issue without resorting to insulting posters.

I think it's time for all British cops to be armed.
It was nice and quaint having them in their odd helmets carrying a truncheon back in the 1950's.
But unfortunately times have changed and the kinds of threats the public face can't be neutralised with a stick.

The UK had multiple terrorist attacks every year for decades. There was no easy solution to that problem and there's no easy solution to this problem.

I never understand why so many experts think they know EXACTLY what these islamic terrorists want. Seems to me they're getting what they want and most people are bending over backwards to ensure they continue getting what they want out of fear of being called racist or islamophobic.

Well we keep hearing that the terrorists are home grown & not refugees so would it not be progressive to try to sort out our own problem first, seeing as 120 went to fight for ISIS before we import thousands more to add to the problem?

As for the elections if Therasa May made a speech saying:

"We will wipe out radical Islam! I will not sleep till we do so!"

and proceeded to send police into areas like Luton/Roschdale etc and make some mass arrests (just for the show and all that) in the next couple of days...

Then the Tories would stroll to a victory. Now we've got this bizarre Twilight zone situation where Labour might completely overperform in the next election.

Perhaps because they've spent several years studying the middle east, it's politics, religion and culture?

There has been Islamic terrorist attacks in Canada and by Canadians. Its far less common and smaller scale, but its happened.

Just to add that isis's orders from on high explicitly tell them to attack Europe rather than America or Canada. It would seem that's why they are doing exactly that.

Perhaps they are suggesting those things because contrary to your opinion, they do have a great track record of 'working' (I refer here only to population movements). A very simple example of this would be the German-Polish border after WW2 - the entire border had for a very long time been a source of dissent because you had people from both ethnicities living on both sides. Cue the Post WW2 settlement the border change and an enormous movement of people and now that border (and wider Polish-German relations) do not have such a poisonous question looming over them. A similar story applies for the German population of the former Sudetenland (a border region of Czechia). See the border of Greece and Turkey for another example - contrast cases like that with the current disputes between Ukraine and Russia or Kosovo and Serbia. These moves were by no means painless, but they did bring some dark chapters of history to a close.

Now you make a point that heavy handed responses will simply do the radicals work for them and perpetuate more problems, and there seems to be a measure of sense to that, but it begs two questions. One, do the radicals really look like they're running out of manpower? Taking a cursory look at the polls of British Muslims suggests that fundamentally they aren't that far from the radical point of view. We could if we were sensible try offering a counter narrative but everyone seems to believe that self-flagellation and telling everyone else that we are oh so bad is the way to go. Secondly, if we are conceding that Europe's Islamic populations are so fickle and will be driven to terrorism as soon as their feelings are hurt (which incidentally seems like something of a problematic assumption) then why do we insist on continuing to swell that population group with refugees and migrants? There is a reason why Japan doesn't have these problems and it's not because its a society that has mastered self flagellation and multiculturalism.

Perhaps because they've spent several years studying the middle east, it's politics, religion and culture?

So they know what each individual islamic terrorist is hoping to achieve?

If I get blown up on Grafton Street by a suicide bomber or hit by a drunk driver on Harcourt Street or stabbed by a little junkie scrote on O' Connell Bridge then so be it.

I'm not going to stop living based on statistically tiny threats.

I'm not going to call for abandoning our system of law & order.

I'm not going to call for outright bans on religions or people.

If you're not happy with how things are in Ireland (with ZERO radical islamic attacks) then feel free to live elsewhere. That's one perk of living in a multi-cultural Europe - you can sod off and live in Spain if you're not happy with here.

So far you've tried to order someone to "go back to breibart" and are now telling someone else they are free to "go live in Poland". I think you are the one failing to understand your beloved multiculturalism. If you want to hear only how great muslims are and have all non believers of how great muslims are sent to Poland maybe you should move to a Muslim country it would be easier for your ideals? Seem to solve your issues.

Just realised its you again. Hours later still ordering people to follow your dictator-like orders. You're multi-cultural Ireland does not welcome people critical of Islam. This says a lot about you and you're ilk :D
