As people are talking about the phone losing signal and taking a few mins to come back...

I put a shortcut on the desktop that resets the modem on the phone, this way when the phone falls off 4G (or any coverage), a simple tap and it resets itself and starts again. The app used is 'QuickShortcutMaker' in the play store.

There is a tiny bit of work finding the right 'switch' that directly resets the modem (without any other menus being used) but once found you save your config and your done! Network reset, auto search and login is but one tap away.

    The app I use:

Battery life gone to pot again... I'm barely getting 8 hours out of a full charge it's getting bouts of severe overheating which I don't like.

I followed the instructions from this thread apart from the chrome and twitter part as I use the former across all my devices and the latter rarely so I simply set it to inactive. I left my phone unplugged last night with WiFi and lte/mobile data on and it dropped 4% overnight. I can live without Google feed if it stops the constant wake locks, my phone was entering deep sleep for only minutes a day, despite clearing caches several times.

The lite Facebook and messenger apps also work well and you can set the notification check frequency.

If anyone is buying a oneplus phone, you can use this link and it gives you €20 to go towards accessories! https://oneplus.net/ie/invite#5JM8IN7DHB2PDLY

I think you need to make an account and log in to use it.

Not sure if this is a oneplus problem or a tinypic problem, but anyway.

Last night I was uploading 3 pics to boards.
One worked but the other 2 wouldn't.
On tinypic after uploading ,instead of the 2 pics appearing, it just said "image or video removed or deleted".
When I pressed on them I got error 404.

Older photos are working fine, it's just any pic I have taken since last night that won't work.

I have cleared the cache and tried a few different browsers but same problem still.
    Any ideas anyone?

I cleared app cashe and system cashe about 2weeks ago and it's really helped. Battery was usually in the 20% range by the time I got home and since the wipe it in the high 40s low 50s most days now.

OnePlus 5 seems to be close looking at their facebook page. They put up pictures from the OnePlus 5 camera!

I never used tinypic so Ive no input on that.

Try IMGUR app instead and upload on private (tick the box). Then 'view' the pic and hold your thumb over the pic and share direct link.

    Thanks I'll try that!

Edit: trying that but it's just posting the link.
Can it post up the actual picture?

Followed that guide and it's on 90% after being charged this morning, many thanks. I love the browser really light and snappy.

Click the insert image button on boards and then paste in the link or just put before the link and after the link with no spaces in between.

Do you lose much when you clear the cache?

Anyone know of anywhere that can replace the OP3 screen glass?

I dropped my phone and the glass cracked, screen etc still works fine

Send it back to OP. Its cheaper than you would imagine (cant recall price but I was surprised) and you're guaranteed a proper repair

I'll second that. It's not like an iphone where anyone could just go and do it.

Cheers, I am handy enough with screen replacements but have never seen a OP3 taken apart and from the videos on youtube that glue looks like it could be a pain to remove and replace.

90 euro is cheaper then the part on ebay also

Back to One Plus it is

    Cheers

Got quoted 92 euro today. Think it's about 4 - 9 business days turnaround time.

Great price in fairness for O.E. parts.

No, you loose nothing. Have to do mine again, starting to drop a fair bit over the last few days. Wish I had the time to do a full wipe and start from scratch.

Just be aware that they will wipe the phone when they get it back to the service provider that carries out the repairs for them so do a backup of anything you need if not already in the cloud.

Got the car charger the other day and it's dead handy to have. Great getting a decent charge on the way in or out of work if needed.

Is the cable the same as the one that comes with the phone? What length is the cable? Thanks
