There are 3 different 32 inch TVs for sale in Douglas. The sharp is 219, LG is 259 and the Samsung is 279. The sharp is discounted but I'm not sure if it's the best value?? Anyone who knows their TVs, any advice on which to go for for best value??

Don't buy a Sharp- they aren't the brand they used to be.

Don't buy a Sharp- they aren't the brand they used to be.
In Europe they are made by UMC in Slovakia
Outside Europe Sharp were taken over by Foxconn, the suicide net guys.

Panels are probably OK for a generic TV.

    BUT
The remote control is 2.4GHz not infra-red. ie. you won't be able use your SKY remote or a universal one and if you need a spare only UMC sell them.
It's a show stopper if you are used to using one remote for TV and set top box Or don't want to swap remotes to whoever wants to watch TV.

If all you want is cheap then if you wait long enough Amazon or Tesco.co.uk will have half price 39"-49" TV's which work out a lot cheaper than here, even with delivery via parcel wizard / parcel motel.

check here once in a while

This one is not a bargain, it's cheap and cheerful but it's a 43" for the price of some of the 32" 's you were looking - £219 / €260

    Tesco Mahon Point.

This charger with 4x1300mAh batteries is marked, and scans, at €6.25.

These 4x2300mAh are marked €5.75, but scan at €1.43!

    Fill yer boots!

The 4 x 2300mAh are now scanning at €0.95 per pack in Dundalk, they were €1.43 last week so might be reduced everywhere, several packs of the batteries still on the shelf, no chargers though.

I picked up what appeared to be the last set of the above tonight in Tesco Balbriggan for €20. There might be more out there in the wild.

Summit 9w COB camping lantern and Summit 3w COB head torch.
    Both at half half price.
As torches go, this lantern has got to be the most lumens per cent yet.
Was 12, marked halfscans half that

    711-7550_PI_TPS2874248?wid=170&hei=170&$Offers$

Strip the COB lights out of the bulky plastic lantern housing and you have a compact 600 lumen floodlight from 3 AA batteries

Same for the head torch. A very creditable 3w for quarter nothing

nice try at being a smart ass, but there is no link there to the aforementioned deal!

Maybe I'm alone in this but I don't expect a link and/or photo of every bargain. Links are often useless as the item is usually not even listed on the Tesco website once it goes to clearance. And not everyone has a smartphone to take a pic of the tag on the shelf, if there is even a tag on the shelf. I'm grateful for all the bargains that I see on here and expect to put in a bit of effort to find them.

    Now for bargains:
    Brita Fill&Go Filter Discs (8pk) 26c
    Tesco 6-cup muffin pans 24c (usually €4.xx)
    Lily O'Briens Dulce de Leche chocolate bar 80g €1 (usually €2.49), short-dated

I couldn't tell you, sorry. I saw these ones in Tesco Naas, they where yellow labelled and had quite a few on the shelf.

DD-WRT thread mentions this particular model
, the hardware, internally, matches other brands (Asus). There doesn't seem to be support on the horizon though.

There was no need to load DD-WRT, router already has an option to set as AP in the gui. Working fine so far :)

Spotted these TP-Link HS110 Wi-Fi smart plugs in Tesco Ardkeen for €10.50. More than likely the same across the Country.

    4DwIHyX.jpg?1

The 2 models are nearly identical, one is priced €29.99, the other €10.50. The €10.50 barcode ends in 737 and has the little "Energy Monitoring" logo in the top left corner of the packaging.

    They're £29.99 each from Amazon
