Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can anyone tell me if I'll be ok getting into the wheelchair area with a General Admission ticket?

i don't think so, are you not meant to have a special accessible ticket? Also, i think you get a handler ticker for free with them

Tickets were going so fast, my sister could only get a pair of general admission ones.

    Oh, and I don't need a "handler". I'm not a f***ing animal!!!!

Hahaha, i thought a minute after that was the wrong word, can just imagine someone prodding ya wit a stick

I meant i think you can get a helper in for free, it's worth trying ticketbastard to see what they say.

There may be issues with allowing you into General Admission with a wheelchair on H&S grounds (yeah, bullshit i know), like they may only be licensed to take in 'x' amount of wheelchair users, like planes if you get my drift

not that they will be letting planes in, that they only allow so many wheelchair users per flight

    Hi Boys & Girls,

    Have a question that I hope someone here, or in the Accessibility & Disability forum can answer for me;

Myself and my Sister are going to the gig on the 27th, but I'm wondering whether or not to take public transport, or to make our own way there?

I'm a wheelchair user, so trying to find a coach/bus that can accommodate me will be difficult I'd imagine......?

Can anyone point me in the direction of any public transport options to get to & from the venue?? Or would we be better off just driving ourselves??

I'd say drive yourself, disability parking will be close, if not right next to the entrance, guessing a bus would have difficulty dropping you off closer

I see axl joined billy Joel at dodgers stadium last night to sing highway to hell. He sounded great and the ac/dc stuff really seems to suit his voice.

    Hi,

I see they are talking about access to Slane from 2pm, which could make for a very long day....

Anyone know what the time sheet looks like ? ... I'm guessing that G'n'R will turn up on stage somewhere around the 8pm mark tbh.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,

    G.

Stage times would probably be released next week/closer to the gig itself.

Looking weirdly forward to this. Have an inlaws gaff to stay in beside NewGrange. Will be a fine walk back....

Will head in before GNR come on. No interest in the support.

Can't say there's anyone on the list that appeals to me either tbh.

Know a few going to this and no one turning up for support-possibly the worst support bands in the history of slane

Will it be busy getting into the campsite Saturday?
We are thinking of being there for 12noon.
Never been in slane before so don't know what to expect.

Probably very cheap, so more profit for G'n'R.

Lanegan's new album is savage, Royal Blood are killer live.

I'd choose Mark Lanegan over G'n'R any day. I loved his work with Screaming Trees and QOTSA, not to mention a string of great solo albums.

Anybody heading to this from Cork? I will be leaving in the morning (6AM the latest) and have 3 spaces in the car.

What's the story with the Golden circle tickets? I have one and just wondering if it will be packed from the beginning. I have a bad feeling if I get in at like 7pm I will be at the edge so might have to get in at beginning to get a got spot in the middle. Anybody been there before at an event with golden circle option?

Gotta imagine their gear/stage set up will be shipping over this week, if it isn't in the country already.

I'd say a lot of the gear would be here permanently, at least for Slash anyhow

Metallica for example have 2 identical rigs, 1 based in the U.S, the other based in Europe, so these nice shiny guitars Kirk has, there's 2 of them, saves a FORTUNE in shipping if the band are regularly playing over here

Slash's gear being here wouldn't surprise me, given he's such a regular to Ireland when he tours.

Guns had the same thing on the Illusions tour, which from a logistical standpoint makes sense.

Also anyone caught wind of the "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT" they've planned for Monday?

    Are wellies needed at slane?

It'll depend on how the weather is during the week. Ticket master say to bring the wellies or at least be prepared.
