    I'm going to play devils advocate a bit here Eddy, but by striving to "rise above" your working class origins, does it not imply that you consider it more desirable to be middle-class rather than working class and therefore that in some sense you judge working class people negatively? As if you're saying, "I don't judge them, I just don't want to *be* one of them myself"?

    Why are you asking advice from someone who completed their degree 15 years ago?

    My advice to you is to stop sending me unsolicited private messages and stop following me around from thread to thread like a beggar. You come across like an obsessive oddball.

    Ireland doesn't have working class middle class etc
    We have people who don't work . People who work to provide for their family unit . People who work in professional and/or rewarding jobs to provide for their family and people that either don't need to work or run the country instead of working

    We are not born into a class here like in the U.K.
