I'm planning on hazard in BUT looking though my leagues i may yet have to get aguero instead to protect myself for gw37

Wildcard is code green, repeat, code green.

    Wildcard activated

Reminder to people on Wildcard that gw deadline is Friday 7pm.
In the past I've been nerdishly partial to leaving the click to the last minute to make it look as if I'm taking a -16, but too risky this week.

Is this the week Kev doesn't play his wildcard? Thats how it works right?

Sanchez and Stephens in, De Roon and Chambers out.

Early thoughts are Gabriel in for Baines. Will give me 4 DGWers - Cedric, Yoshida, Sanchez and Gabriel. Could get a 5th as a Zaha replacement but no one catching my eye at the moment.

Grant to Caballero and maybe Arsenal defensive cover.

Right I need to get King. 1.7m in the bank.

    Grant Hennessey
    Alonso Bertrand Gibson Maguire Babies
Sanchez Alli Hazard Sane De Roon
    Gabby Kane Benteke

Any suggestions on how to fit him in? I could upgrade De Roon and downgrade Benteke but I think I'll want Jesus in 37 so Benteke to Jesus would be an easy enough swap.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,254 ✭✭✭✭km79

Do that and then gabbi to Jesus 37 if you still want to
I know gabbi has a double as well but you will be playing 352

Two nice home fixtures coming up, he's getting hard to ignore now.

The damage is done I reckon your better off with dgw players now. I'm in the same boat.

    I disagree
For his price you are bit going to get an Arsenal mid for next week and wouldn't touch any of the saints
And then his 37 is as good as any double mid in that price range and there will be massive rotation
He should be in everyone's team for rest of season

Ive nothing to gain by getting him now most ahead of me have him. There are also only so many slots in your team. I currently have 5 attackers with a dgw. I'll be getting another 2 to bring it to 7. For someone that has him it probably makes no sense and if I had a wildcard I'd get him but for my team and my ranking it makes no sense.

Dont think I can head into city palace without aguero
But then I won't have any Chelsea at home to boro without a -8 and then it would be Pedro
    Big decision
Basically it is aguero and Pedro
    Or hazard and Jesus
For the rest of the season

    Aye only thing is,

    I'd have a front 8 of

    Alli,Redmond,Firmino,King,Hazard

    Aguero Kane Gabbi

But I'd probably bench Gabbi in A DGW

The possibility of gw37 rotation greater for Chelsea if they have title wrapped up........but Pep..........god I hope something happens tomorrow to make my decision easier

Sane was in my thinking originally and may yet come back into it
    Won't be signing costa
The main thing is at the moment aguero is in a LOT of the teams behind me and some have TC left so that's a big fear for 37
    A lot depends on tomorrow
If he scores big I'll probably have to get him
If he doesn't some may sell on WC
    Tough call this

Anyone with Aguero now would hold until the end. I wouldn't think about them dropping him bar Jesus subbing on for him.

    True
But hazard may tempt them and team value is poor for a lot

Anyway looking through the teams i think aguero next week is the prudent move and play siggy which is always nice :D

Then i can judge whether i get Pedro for free or hazard for a hit for 37

He was a great transfer to make this week. He had a good fixture . He has had a great start to his Southampton career and he has back to back dgw fixtures. He is also 6.4 so can be used to free up cash.

ah fair enough but still he rarely scores and they have 3 tough teams out of 4 . hardly worth it ?

He had hull at home today too which was part of the appeal along with his price
Given the amount of midfield options that money was helpful

He had 6 goals in 4 games including the Carling cup final before his injury.

    Rarely scores?
Well up to this morning (when people were bringing him in) he'd 4 goals in the 430 league minutes he'd ever played for Southampton. Small sample size admittedly.

And that 7th goal that unjustly disallowed in the final. Still hurts.

58 mins today and similar game time last week, coupled with his difficult fixtures are enough for me not to consider him for one of 3 striker positions for GW37.

    I'm likely looking at a front 3 of Kane-Aguero-Costa for GW37.
Next week I'd consider him only for his lack of minutes, given there aren't many strikers to pick on that double GW (GW36).

Kevirl obviously after hacking half the accounts on here, keep seeing 'wildcard activated'

My wildcard is long gone, can just about afford Lukaku and Zaha to Gabbiadini and Hazard, but not 100% on it yet. Gabbiadini' poor showing today didn't help, but would really like to get Hazard in for the run in. Will wait and see how tomorrow's games go. Either way, I want rid of Zaha.

Really not sure what to do yet.
I don't have Sanchez and probably won't be getting him but if he looks sharp tomorrow I might have to give in.
May get Monreal in for Brunt but I'll need convincing he won't be rotated.
Costa in for a hit is an option but I'm not overly convinced by him and I kinda want to leave a Chelsea spot open for Terry in GW38

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,714 ✭✭✭Cartman78

    Looking at a few options:

Benteke to Giroud and Zaha to cheap DGW midfielder (Fletcher, Albrighton)....funds tight so can't do it without the hit)

Otherwise, it's Lukaku out for Giroud and Jesus in for Benteke....will mull over it obsessively for a few days either way

See how he gets on today but I really don't trust girouds minutes to be bringing him in for lukaku. With welbeck back on the scene lately I think there's better options than giroud. Don't get too clouded by the dgw.

    Thinking a -8 for

    Gibson > Monreal
    Zaha > Hazard
    Lukaku > Barnes

    Would leave me with

    Caballero (Jaku)
    Alonso Bailey Monreal Yoshida (Bavies)
    Sanchez Alli Hazard King (TCarroll)
    Aguero Kane (Barnes)

No BB but will have 10DGW players.

Will be playing 442 as I fancy Monreal to outscore any of the 343/352 options such as Redmond and Gabbi

    Thoughts?

    Looking good
I'm beginning to wish I had not bothered with gabbi tbh
    That's a solid team

I will really have to start paying attention to team value next year. I am 6.8 million short of this team

Was originally thinking Firmino to Sanchez, and TCing him, although based on Arsenals form, am thinking bringing in Hazard, and TCing him instead could produce more points, from his one game compared to Sanchezs two.

Thoughts or ideas. Today's matches could be the decider.

Jesus and aguero both starting as strikers today . Sane rested
    Cat meet pigeons
I'm now thinking hazard and jesus instead of aguero and pedro

And now with has made things even tougher ........Selling for a hit before home game to everton
    I don't think i can do it
And if he delivers again next week and they have loads to play for ..............This is getting tougher by the minute
Will look at city and may do tekkers to jesus and Valencia to Monreal and say a novena when Chelsea play boro !

Jesus is going to play all the games IMO. He is going to be a stater for them next season so he will get games especially as top 4 is looking fairly secure.

Yeah I'm looking at the Aguero / Jesus double now. They'd want to buck up their ideas a bit this second half mind you.
