I'm getting mixed up I reckon! Mine are the cat4 ones but find them much better on the water, glare is terrible otherwise. Somehow in the years since I heard it first i mixed up Cat4 & polarised :o

Had a pair of oakleys before. Found em good - another good thing about em was the legs snapped out of the frame if they came under pressure... so if you had em in your pocket or something and they got crushed, the legs would pop out rather than break... was handy I thought...

Can't remember what model they were...

Mine are radar path, came off a horse and whacked my head and the sunglasses stayed intact so they're fairly sturdy! Just hate scratches on them so I'm a bit wary about wearing them everywhere.

Well all. We have a vixen and 5 cubs that have made their home very very close to the back of our garage. Close enough that the cubs do be in the back lawn playing. What would ye do in that situation?? Ive seen enough half carcasses of lambs up around the hazel and bushes where i outwinter some cattle to have no sympathy for them at all.

If you allow a local gun club the shooting on your land I'd ask them to take care of it.
If not I'd be inclined to lamp or trap them myself.

A trap might work well if you're stuck for space to execute a safe shot.

You hold the middle of it between your fingers and spin it. Can put it on the tip of your finger too. Supposed to reduce stress !

I reckon if she realizes how close you are she'll move them herself. Had a trail cam set up and I saw them being moved one at a time. Sorry don't have the pics anymore.

You couldn't have done more. Most wouldn't give the time and effort you did at such a busy time of year.

You gave her every chance. Not nice to have to do it but you made the right call there. Chances of getting up after 4 weeks were 1 in 10,000's

Ya gave her the best chance.

I'm still kicking myself over breaking a lambs leg here, somehow I managed to stand on his leg when I was trying to catch him. Got a splint on him kept it on him for a week and now a week after taking it off he's flying

Had a bullock late this evening lame with a scald.
Only had a previously opened bottle of alamycin until I get something in the morning. It was gone black but gave him a shot of it. Will it do him any good or more importantly will it do him any harm.

Deepest sympathy to the family concerned. I knew the man to see from fatstock shows where he would have won many awards. Two parishes over from myself.

Does anybody else find the headline a bit insensitive to the family at an already difficult time? Gardai "probe". Disrespectful in my honest opinion.

You would have been better off getting something like Betamox from your Vet as alamycin (afaik) is more or less for respiratory illness. When a bottle is opened the contents should be used within 28 days. If it was black I would not have used it and you may have done the animal more harm then good. At the end of the day it's only a scald, not a life or death situation and could have waited until you consulted with your Vet.

I'd only give them ten days max when I had sucklers.....most depressing yokes around a yard....like yourself I had plenty of know all neighbours around but noone when she needed to be lifted or moved

Here in London at the sisters. The brother got a text, the server down at work so crisis mode there.

I've two mate donkeys for the winter for the brother in law. Just got a call to say the broke out and the neighbour drove them up the road in the wrong direction because he didn't know we had donkeys on the land. Murphy's law.

I got a problem with some horses grazing some rough ground beside me, they have broken into here a few times over the last few weeks. One of the evenings that I drove them back in, that night a neighbour was driving home in the dark and came around a dangerous enough corner at my gate only to meet them galloping for him, said he had to swerve off the road to miss them. Even though it wasn't my fault I was feeling a little guilty that I had jsut punted them back into their paddock afew hrs before. Anyways they were back in here yday again, my dad put them back into their paddock, and now I'm after finding them back the bloody road inside in my rented land, right beside the maize feild! (left open because the lads were meant to sow today). Anyways I've them locked into another paddock at the minute, but what should I do with them? Call the gardai? Ispca?
