I dont know, call them and ask.

Right, so you're not really comparing like for like to begin with then, let alone bringing realistic prices/comparisons to the debate. Good job.

does the valve caps count ? I need to know before a I make a call what to ask about.

Taking the same garage you linked from and the ad that sits at the top of the search you used....

    http://www.carzone.ie/used-cars/lexus/gs300h/used-2017-172-lexus-gs300h-luxury-hyb-dublin-fpa-147614247885379000?SOURCE_ID=SOURCE_ID_FPA_FROM_FEAT_LIST

It would appear that prices start at €57,950. So eh yeah, I don't think the valve caps will make any difference. ;)

€10k more as a starting price, totally comparable.

Regardless of what you paid for it mloc, it's a deadly looking car with loads of power. That's all good in my book :)

I'm sure it's a nice car no doubt.

But....€50k for the budget VW brand...is that completely missing the point? :D

Obviously each to their own, but goodness, €50k on a four pot Skoda....

you have a serious attitude problem, you can't pass up the opportunity to run down another persons pride and joy - Not that it matters what engine or car it is but to dismiss it as a 4 pot skoda is missing the point. It's a 4wd sleeper (a real sleeper not a 5 pot with a mangnaflow exhaust sleeper) with one of the best engines VW have ever made in it.

When you drive an alfa anything but an alfa is the business, when you drive the volvo it's all volvo. You are a young man so we can forgive the fickleness but if you are coming into this thread with bitterness looking for the first opportunity to run down a mans car then you are missing the whole point of this entire forum.

Yep. Its an absolutely cracking motor. That 280bhp engine is one of the best turbo 4 pots ever built and it looks great too. Absolutely mint. Well wear. Im really trying to persuade myself not to trade in the GTD for an R.

A Fiat Ritmo, brings back memories. A friends mother had one when I was younger. His Dad had a Corolla. He didn't mind getting the use of the Corolla but hated when he was left with the RankMo as he called it.

To close out on all the posts. Cheers for the positive feedback.
For me the Superb is the best of all worlds... It is a mundane enough saloon that doesn't look out of place when dropping the kid to creche/school and at the same time it is incredibly fun to throw around bendy country roads :)

One of the big selling points for me was that 90% of people wouldn't give it a second glance.. the other 10% might wonder if it is a 150 or a 190 TDI.

    Bit of a fail there.

Reg shame, he suffers terribly from it. If you can't see the year you might assume it's a 171. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,373 ✭✭✭selous

Nah, unfortunately, only a 70cl, couldn't afford an Abarth or the insurance, when I was but a child, but had a loan of a 130tc for a few weeks back in the day, ear to ear smiles, and a petrol station every other day,
