With the Rally of the Lakes on this weekend, I thought I'd finally burst my Healy Pass cherry and do a bit of camera location scouting before the event on Saturday. Now that I'm living in Kerry with Work, I wasn't expecting it to be nearly 2 hours driving before finally hitting 'The Pass', so it was nearly 9pm by the time I got to enjoy it, but good god is it an incredible stretch of road.
As you can see by the pictures, Im back behind the wheel of the Puglet. The bloody Alfa is broken again, its been on 3 AA recovery trucks in the 6 weeks I've owned it, so the Pug is yet again proving the ever reliable daily driver. It deceided it didnt like the standard, NCT Spec exhaust backbox, and promptly sent that spiraling down the road one day. The sham spec straight pipe is back on for now, and I forgot that it induces bapping tourettes. The Pug is also sporting a redesigned passo wing, when another driver decided at the last minute to fly across roundabout lanes!!

Man and car after my own heart. Light, loud, daft and reliable as fook. Pure. Love that car. Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

I'm sure it's a nice car no doubt.
But....€50k for the budget VW brand...is that completely missing the point?

No.. it wouldn't. An A6 150 TDI (s-line blk edition) manual came in around the same price, and I know which I prefer more
Anyway... I guess I will have to live with 'only' having a 4 pot that produces 280ps 0 -
