very strange foxes & crows tend to go for the stomach area

cats & mink go for the neck.

    any dogs in the area?

The was split from his balls to his chin running along his under belly. Everything inside was taken. Haven't seen any dogs as I'm there with the lamp a few times a night every night since I started lambing. But of course I was on a 24hr yesterday and the one night I'm not around something came.

The fox comes every night. Mostly it's out of luck but every now and again it strikes it lucky, a hen coop left open, a fresh unattended weak lamb. Etc.

I suppose your right I thought that had that field fairly fox proof. I did leave a couple of runs open for snares. It just doesnt look like a fox kill to me. Last week this one came.

A mini pug and a samoid in with our sheep this afternoon. I fired a couple of warning shots and the poor ould pug tried to run so fast he kept tumbling head over heels . It was funny at the time but looking back I'd say it would've made a great YouTube video

Things must be tough for spud farmers out there.
Lads obviously not able to replace the screens in the grader....
The big one weighs exactly a pound and a half. (710 grams to you youngsters)

Did you actually weigh it. Will you complain. My sister complained that there was no wick in her Yankee candle and got some free ones sent to her. She has too much time on her hands. It was only a tea light :)

He who dips his wick must pay for the oil

I weighted it. Five others were over a pound, and another few just under a pound.

    I'll complain surely.

Jeez, spent weeks standing at a grader, pulling off rotten spuds, and running round and whipping off 3 different sizes of bags and wiring them shut as the scales whacked down.

A yes but you didn't have to plant them and pick them and clean them and grade them and fill the bags and chop up the rubbbage for cows

I just can't get my head around eating fish and no other meat on Good Friday, I mean what's the difference in fish and chicken FFS.
We had chicken and ham in a creamy chilly sauce with pasta and it was awesome.
