Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

To Kane or not to Kane.

With Alli, Davies and Son all in my team and scoring well, I don't think I can justify it myself.

Considering banking the transfer now with Son not looking like he needs to be shipped out, with DGWs fast approaching.

Kane is a problem now but I have new found love for Aguero and always wary of a triple up from one team especially given i am X2 on Leciester as well.

Kane in for Costa or Lukaku probably.

If I go for Kane I'll have to decide if I want to have Sane or Aguero as my city cover.

A forward line of Kane, Lukaku , Aguero could be explosive.

Barnes out for Kane and I'll have to find over 4.5 million from elsewhere to fund it. It's going to be a long week. :pac:

    Likely Costa out Kane in
    Walker out. Gibson in

    Why get rid of Eriksen?

Which Spurs midfielder should I get? Alli I suppose is the safest option?

Yeah Alli is the one to get. Explosive on his day and the biggest goal threat.

    To make way for Hane.
Have Alli and Davies. Holding those two.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,962 ✭✭✭Hogey007

I'm on Alonso watch here, might ditch him for a cheap defender if Chelsea concede again.

He might stay though if I feel I must get Kane in, currently have ibra lukaku and aguero.
Hard to know, which, if any to drop.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,685 ✭✭✭sheroman01

Kun and Siggy out - Kane and Alli in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,654 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

    Vardy to Kane most likely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,826 ✭✭✭✭dahat

Sane or Siggy to King gives room to do Vardy to Kane.....mmmmm

As I have and likely to keep Aguero I'm most certain to do the following..

    Sane to King
    Vardy to Kane

I have £0.2 wiggle room which is tight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Chesty08

Plan was Alonso out to £5m defender this week

Then following week Carroll to Ibra

    What 5m defenders out there?

    Valdes, Forster

Valencia Davies Holgate & Janmaat my others

I'll be waiting until Friday but think I'll be doing Aguero, Walker --> Kane, Ward (or PVA if he's fit) for -4

Aguero's been great but I don't think he's worth 13m and I really want Kane.
I'll probably ignore Ibra but have enough itb to do Lukaku to him in GW34

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,520 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

Have funds to do Zlatan and Lukaku to Aguero and Kane. 2nd two just sound so much more awesome but ignores the GW34 Zlatan factor.

Pedro or siggy to Walcott or ozil

Arsenal double up? I'm not so sure I'd trust them with two of my spots.

Think he means he'd just be doing one of those transfers?
I'd go siggy to Walcott myself.

Looking for something similar myself - finally shipping Brunt out for a 5-5.5. defender.

I know you have Forster but would you consider Yoshida? Simpson maybe?

Kane is price protected now right, so no rush to get him in yet?

I can never seem to get my head round the price protection thing :o:o

Thanks so much for this. Like I say, price protection = for me!

    Great to know!

Redmond or Brunt to Zaha or PVA. I do love a minus four..so prob bring in both

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,009 ✭✭✭✭titan18

    To afford Kane, gone

    Sigurdsson to Zaha
    Origi to Kane

Had just brought in Original this week too, but with King's form, might as well go 3-4-3

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,672 ✭✭✭ElTel

Very likely to get Kane for my 4.3M guy.
Will give me a strong Fr8 with Pedro on bench next week probably.

This was a more complicated situation though to be fair
    For example Ibra was suspended
    And is protected
But Kane's flags were changed twice yday which lead to non protection
    I don't understand it either :D

    Great to know!

    Fplstatistics have him rising

    Fix have him at 0%

I pulled the trigger thinking he was rising so hope he does now!

That part of the FPL phantom rules about price changes is just beyond stupidity .

By the way, Kane rising is an interesting concept for psychiatry analysis and treatment. Many people got him in early the last time and he got injured. He's just back and faster than expected. He played half an hour. Is not fully fit yet. There are games tomorrow (or this afternoon). And people massively bring him in early. People are crazy masochistic impatient sl*ts :pac:...

    Indeed
And he has gone up .1

    :(

It's looking like Kane is the new Aguero then? People taking hits and losing players who could score just as well on any given day, just to have him - e.g. Eriksen, Lukaku and Aguero being mentioned. I know Kane has some huge hauls in the mid-term past but all things considered it does seem irrational. Moves like Vardy to Kane I get but selling in-form Aguero for -4???

    For fck sake.

Went to do Walker to Gibson. Costa to Kane.
Ended up doing Lukaku to Kane. So then had to do Costa to Lukaku for a -8.

    Disaster

I was looking at various options for Vardy > Kane and noticed at one stage I was "selling" Lukaku instead.

The real disaster would be if lukaku got injured today and you had to go back to Costa for -12.

I'm only kidding, almost happened me a while back too but copped it on the confirm transfers page.

Thinking either banking it or -8 for:

    Sanchez-Alli-Lukaku
    To
    Walcott-Hazard-Kane

My rival sold Sanchez last week so banking it may be the smart move but the changes above would get me 3 differentials. Decisions ahead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,543 ✭✭✭✭CSF

I really don't see much benefit in those 3 transfers, never mind for a -8. Lukaku has to be favoured next weekend over Kane in terms of likely points haul surely?

Given the choice I'd have Kane over lukaku. Spurs are a better attacking team than Everton and Burnley are a better defensive team than Bournemouth.

You should at least have waited till after lukaku played to do the last one !

Agreed on both those things. But those aren't the only factors at play here. The fact that Kane isn't 100% to start (I think he will), and is very unlikely to play more than 70 mins. Him not being sharp at all and there being a lot more potential goalscorers at Spurs.

De Roon was one guy I was thinking of buying for DGW in 34. Anyone know why he didn't play yesterday?
