And I'm asking here again because I was still unable to set to vibrate using slider.... Not asking for the fun of it:D

Have mine a few days now and the only niggle I have with it so far is that when you decrease the volume using just the volume buttons it will stop a 14% and never go to silent.

It seems like the put this feature in to force you to use the slider.

The slider is hard to use with my cover.

Ordered, spent the last few days comparing phones. They were all either decent spec and €600+, or the same price as the 3T and much worse specs.

My midnight black arrived this morning in work!!

Thought I would find it a real chore getting switching from ios but have all my contacts and photos on the phone through google, have my personal and work email set up etc.

Lots more to do and learn(later when im not in work)but it is one lovely looking and feeling phone.

Got my midnight black one this morning too. Switched from iPhone 7 Plus. The only thing I'm missing from the the iPhone is the Notes app and the Wallet app. Everything else is perfect.

Android pay is great though and the other stuff I just got used to. Plenty of other apps out there

Yeah, have OneNote already. The iOS note app was just very clean and simple.
The Wallet app kept all my cards, Ryanair boarding passes and loyalty cards in one place. Very handy.

Tried to set up Android pay earlier, but wouldn't work with UB for some reason. I thought I read somewhere that it was working?

Thanks for that. UB were pretty quick to get on board with Apple Pay, so maybe shouldn't be too long on the Android Pay.

    This http://www.guidingtech.com/54223/passbook-wallet-apps-android/
might help you out to replace passbook. Forgot to mention it's AIB and KBC only but it will probably be added to Ulster bank in the next few months

I'm not familiar with Wallet at all, so this may be a totally different beast, but have you looked into Evernote? I know people use it for storing receipts, boarding passes, business cards etc.

Bricked my op3 earlier messing. Head was wrecked for a couple of hours but got it back working fine due to some greats guide on op forums.

How'd you manage that? Trying to root it?

I don't want to do anything wrong that might end up doing it!

Probably been asked and answered before so apologies but can anyone recommend an ad blocker? Getting loads of adds on here.

No for browsing. Getting massive big adds on boards.

Thanks for this. Have those black ones on my midnight black now and they look great.

After owning it for only a few hours, I'm delighted with the phone so far.

Funnily enough, coming from iOS where your screens are full of apps I'm finding myself going for as minimalist a look as possible on the home screen. All the apps are so easy to get to anyway they feel like they are cluttering the screen.

Have updated to the latest sortware with a VPN, have google assitant on board etc.

    Fun times ahead.

Use the Brave browser. Blocks ads etc. without needing to root, and is based on Chrome so looks/feels exactly the same.

    One more question lads.
Any special way to treat the battery for the first few cycles? Let it drain completely before recharging or does that not make any difference in this day and age?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,038 ✭✭✭✭adox

Sorry for all the questions but I have one more.

On my email icons there are no numbers showing at all. So when a new email comes in I get a notification fine but there is no number showing on either of my email icons.

May be the same for the rest of the apps as well. Any suggestions?

Thanks for that. Its Outlook(work) and gmail(personal) but it seems to be app wide. No numbers showing on whatsapp Flickr messanger etc.

Its no biggy really with the notifications anyway but just wanted to see if it was normal behaviour.

Numbers showing on apps isn't really an Android thing.

Ways to do it as said above though
