Does anyone have a curved screen glass screen protector that covers the entire screen for a low cost? Other than the one above this post or is the one above the best one? Don't want to be spending €20 on a screen protector either.

Is that not very shiny (reflective)?

What exactly is the bug with phone calls?

The current beta update looks good

Release notes and feature changes in this Open Beta build:
All new launcher, added support for shortcuts on 7.1.1
    Redesigned app drawer
    Redesigned UI for launcher settings
Added status bar icon option to display real time network speed
    Added Notification Denoising
Added Gaming Do Not Disturb mode
    Added automatic Night Mode
Added Secure Box for file encryption
    Optimized touch latency
    Optimized camera EIS for videos
Improved contacts management with linking and merge functions
Added quick pay option for India
    Bug fixes and general improvements
Both the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T have received new beta updates jam-packed with features, including a brand new launcher very much like that found on the Google Pixel, complete with swipe-up gesture for the app drawer and launcher shortcuts.
The update is OxygenOS Open Beta 13 for the OnePlus 3 and Open Beta 4 for the OnePlus 3T. Besides the new Pixel-like launcher, you’ll also note network speeds are now displayed in the status bar. There’s also a new UI for launcher settings (now accessible via both a pinch gesture on the home screen as well) and an automatic Night Mode.
The app drawer has been redesigned, there’s notification denoising (priority settings basically), a do not disturb mode for gaming, fixes for touch latency, optimized EIS for video and a file safe called Secure Box. This is only PIN-secured for now but we presume fingerprint support will arrive at a later date.

Linking and merge functions have been added to the contacts and a QR-based quick pay feature has been added for Indian users that turns a long press of the home button into a payment shortcut. If you’re already enrolled in the open beta track you’ll get the update OTA or you can flash it manually via the download links below. Just remember to clear your cache afterward to avoid any post-update weirdness.

I installed it Friday, quite like the new menu. Don't think I need Nova launcher now.

I got this one, happy with it.

Does that have adhesive on the whole protector or just on the white/black parts?

I knows it a April fools day and all but DAMN I would love some of that Dash drink!

They should market it, lol : Dash cola, "It gives you all day power in under an hour"!

It's real, made by a company called Fresh drink but tastes like diet red bull. I am in London for the weekend and went to the dash drink event in Bishop Square, I was lucky enough to get a OnePlus backpack there.

The cans handed out had little info on them other than the name and address of the maker, they seem to specialise in promo drink products. I was chatting to a bunch of 6th form lads while we were waiting and they were adamant that it was an exploding can that sprayed out water. The prizes were great though, there was a contest that was run with groups of people every few minutes where you got 5 balloons and a minute to blow them up. 1 balloon was a free can, 2 balloons got a t-shirt in addition and 3+ earned a choice of messenger bag or backpack on top of that. Given the bags are €50 I was delighted with my 3 balloons.

I have it and it's perfect. Takes about 1mm off each side of the screen but it's not noticeable at all. Doesn't have that terrible dot matrix problem others have

About to pull the plug on the 64gb oneplus 3T. What's the best case to get for it? Not really bothered about it being slim, just want enough edging to protect the screen. I see people also talking about screen protectors. Never use them to be honest and never scratched or damaged a screen but does this phone need it?

It's a big screen so higher risk, even if it is gorilla glass. I bought mine last week and delighted with it! Also don't go for express shipping for the extra €10, it literally arrives at the same time as the other, maybe a day later. A friend of mine didn't pay express and got it a day later.

As for the case, if you're looking for protection, don't go for oneplus's case. It's thin and doesn't cover the top and bottom.
You can never go wrong with an otterbox, but they are expensive. eBay has knock off's that are cheaper. Otterbox's is €30.00.
    I bought this http://www.ebay.ie/itm/272588199020?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
and it gives a nice bit of coverage but not on the screen so I'm looking for tempered glass screen protectors.

If you can wait for the delivery, aliexpress have a great range.

I assume people only buy the phone from the oneplus site rather than off the likes of ibuygou, amazon, aliexpress and so on?

Has there been any word on the one plus 4? When is it likely to be released?

Yep, better off going straight to the site itself. Especially if you end up having any problems etc.

At the rate they are going I'd say June or July.
Apparently it will be called OnePlus 5.

Likely to be an announcement of the OnePlus 5 (4 is bad luck in some countries apparently) in the next month or two. Then an actual release June (earliest) to September maybe. It's anyone's guess.

    OnePlus 3
    OnePlus 3T

Once you migrate to the Beta path, you will continue to receive Open Beta OTAs. You will NO LONGER receive the regular Official Stable OTAs

Might just wait for the official one's to come out. Is there much of a timeframe between beta release and official release?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 965 ✭✭✭1jcdub

Running the Google now launcher at the moment. I only installed it as I like using the app shortcuts and OnePlus hadn't included it in their last couple of updates.
I'll probably sigh back to the OP launcher on the next update.
Does beta 4 allow for 5x5 grid side on the home screen rather than the 4x5?

It's a bug. I downloaded the Google Phone apk, and used that. Disabled the OP (system) phone app, and problem went away.
Upgraded to Beta 13 7.1.1 yesterday evening so reverted to the system phone app and issue hasn't presented itself yet.

Can you link the exact app please?

I didn't touch the parts to see, but I'm pretty sure it's only on the coloured parts. Good adhesion though. Slight dots visible in strong sunlight.
