front plug. even though this one is corroded and there was loads of dirt in and around it, there isn't as much carbon buildup, the little tip looks clean and there is no oil around the threads at all like there was on the rear plug

Should I clean them and put them back in or just replace both?

What heat range are they 9 or something, they look very black and carboned up.
Like the bikes not getting hot enough or doing a lot of idling.
Did you blow/vacuum out the plug wells before you took the plugs out so no dirt fell back into the cylinder?

I'd fit new plugs, once they are out its as handy to do them and have them done.

With sealed bearings I am inclined to pop out one of the rubber seals and pack a little more grease in the bearing. Not completely full but just a few more dollops.
Its a contentious topic, not everyone agrees with doing it but as wheel bearings spin relatively slowly I prefer to ensure they have more grease than they come with from the factory.

Yep, Triumph are notoriously stingy on the grease for bearings etc. Sure there was an issue with the new 1200 Explorers iirc. At 1st service they were greased again under warranty.......

I'm gona place 10 euros on stewy being a lottery winner, judging by posts he doesn't work as he is always riding during the day/night/24/7 and if there is a part to change/upgrade or a way someone can do something to it that costs money be it an oil change, brake pad change or filling a tyre with air he will pay for it and more. Basically if there is a way to spend money stewy will spend it.

Mate i would say they lick their lips when you come on no joke you are putting kids through school.

YouTube is your friend for doing more to your bike than an oil and filter change every 25 miles.

Some say he has got matching his and hers carbon fibre bidets in his bathroom!!!!!:D

And if you say his name 3 times while thinking of carbon fiber and looking in the mirror he will appear out of nowhere and do a burnout in your driveway !!!

I should have thought of doing that but all I did was wipe with a rag inside the well before taking them out. hopefully not too much stuff fell in, can't do much now but next time I'll definitely blow it out thanks.

they are cr8eix iridium. could be not getting hot enough because I have a throttle stop restrictor? I've never hit the rev limiter with the thing so it may have to come out if that's fouling the plugs

Thats very presumptuous of you Blade, in this PC world.

It could very well be "His & His" matching carbon fibre bidets.

My blade has iridium plugs and a mate told me if I start it then ride it, do not start it in the shed for 5 mins once a week in the bad weather as this is what fecks up the iridium plugs.
He told me this after I had fouled the plugs :)

Is that RPHA 10 of yours a carbon special? I've the 11 but its the "poly integrated matrix" which is carbon, kevlar and fibreglass.

    How much does it weigh?

More R&G goodies fitted to the K1300s. Drive shaft crash bung, handlebar Sliders and fork sliders and a fender extender. Also bought a SW Motech 25Ltr dry bag, not pictured. It seems like a handy bit of kit. I might invest in a tank bag as well. A full Akrapovic system is also on my shopping list, but not for a few months yet.

It could be Christmas before I get around to it, depends on how much cash I can put away, and if nothing else pops up in the meantime. I asked in Lee's about pricing just the titanium slip on akrapovic and it was coming in at £1400 from their supplier while the full stainless system with carbon end pipe was £1200.

Shop on the internet. You will get a full system for less than that.

You have Akra,Austin Racing,Racefit,Arrow and LeoVince just to name a few.

I went with AR after taking off the Akra headers. Nice sound from the AR system.

I ordered a sh!t ton of stuff from Belfast HD there last week. Half it to turn my Street Glide into a full two up tourer and the other to have it as a single seater for when I'm on my own.

I got the first of many boxes there at the weekend. A lovely cross stitch seat.
