    I had disco eggs too.

First id even heard of them. Picked up a packet of chatt masala in the local ethnic spice shop for 99c.

Good breakfast. Was an interesting change.

Happened to spot this post this morning and had a couple of left over burger buns so went for it.

Really really enjoyed it, will be going on the regular list!

We've had house guests from the US for the past few days so we've been having the Full Irish for breakfast. We'll need to be on the porridge for a week now they've left :)

Today I had a full thanksgiving grill up.

Turkey sausages, Aldi's new Turkey Rashers, beans, mushrooms and egg.

It's no Hafners sausage but it was alright!

I'm on a bit of a mission to clear out the kitchen presses and fridge, so with that in mind this morning's breakfast was 2 x chorizo flavoured sausages from Aldi, sliced up and fried with a jalapeno and a few chopped scallions, then tipped in a few beaten eggs, for an omelette.

Sprinkled on some feta, finished under the grill.

Had a tin of tagine flavoured chickpeas which I heated and served some up on the side with a slice of buttered bread to mop it up.

Today has been a good day so far. :)

Was home alone this morning, so took advantage by firing up the BBQ & grilling white pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes & eggs on the hot plate. Lovely morning for it too.

    Those eggs....nom

    Those beans - yuch.

A fry should not not not be swimming in a sea of baked beans. If baked beans must be served (although they have no place in an Irish breakfast) they should be in a ramekin.

    Pedantic rant over!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,739 ✭✭✭✭kylith

You're wrong there, but the eggs should be on the side so the yolks can be excised and eaten in one go.

Not sure why they need to be in a ramekin as you would just dump them on the plate.

Carrot sticks with basil pesto hummus and a side helping of pickled beetroot :o

Don't judge, it's really delicious if you love pickled beetroot as much as I do!

Maybe you would dump them on the plate.
Some people might like to eat them from the ramekin so that everything on the plate doesn't taste of baked beans.

You'd never guess that I don't like baked beans, would you?

I do! I love anything pickled, but especially beetroot. Himself and myself eat lots of it.

    Never :pac:
