Something needs to happen with my defence:

Funes Mori - Holgate - Mee - Yoshida - Brunt

One or both of FM and Holgate out I think. I have 1.2 ITB so might go for Valencia, but I'll wait and see if anything higher priority comes up. That banked money might be crucial with the DGWs coming up.

For a record signing, Brady is not popular in Burnley. So he's gone.

    Olsson too.

2 free transfers so time to make things happen

Funes Mori out providing the rest of the troops survive the international break unscathed. Mawson/Yoshida the likely replacement.

    Palace defender incoming I think

Definitely activating the WC this week, maybe even before end of weekend. Switch things around again after the internationals if need be.

How nailed on is Yoshida? Does it just depend on VVD's return?

Looks nailed on. Stephens will make way upon van Dijk's return. Caceres could start tomorrow though in place of Stephens.

Wildcarding - really need to sort out GKs, Def and a few other issues.

Currenty have Foster & Jaku in goals - will probably switch Jaku to Pickford for the extra games but struggling to pick a new first choice GK - had been thinking of Cech but Arsenal seems so ropey at the back.

    De Gea?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

Bank if I can. Sanchez out if stays injured, maybe to Haz if he's fit.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Chesty08

Thinking now is the time to Wildcard but don't know where to start. Have a couple of bench fodders I could ship.

What teams have nice upcoming fixtures?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,765 ✭✭✭Mr. Guappa

In an ideal world I'll bank, but a lot of things could change over the next fortnight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

I think I'll be taking a hit to sort out my gks Randolph and mignolet have been a disaster since I got them on wildcard. Barring injuries I'm looking at FM to Bertrand and mig to ddg.

If you can afford him, sure. He'll be relatively immune from the Utd rotation which is likely. But then you'll hqve to play DDG over Pickford for his double.

I was thinking of wild-carding to but with blanks week in 34 and DGW's coming I may need to hold on.

There will be at most 1 team blanking in GW34. (WBA)

If your team is in bad shape it's perfectly possible to plan a WC now towards the DGWs but if a hit will sort you out there's benefit in holding to have more DGW info.

Is that not FA Cup weekend, only 6 games on according to the site.

Most of those games will be rescheduled to midweek the same GW. Several teams likely to have doubles.

GW34 is the first of the main DGWs. There's a thread.... ;)

I presume if one team blanks there will be two :):):)

    Actually, no!

Instead of City playing WBA they will play Man U. Man U will have 2 games, WBA none and everyone else one.

That's what I thought until I realised with games at the weekend and midweek it could only be one team to blank.

For the first time this season I genuinely don't have a clue what to do.....reasonably happy with most of the squad following a couple of half decent weeks but they all seem to have meh fixtures coming up...planning on wildcarding in a couple of weeks

    GK = Heaton Foster
DEF = Coleman Azpi Brunt Smith Amat
MID = Siggy Mané Alli Antonio Barkley
    FWD = Carroll Costa Lukaku

Is it worth doing Azpi to Alonso?? He looked very threatening yesterday.

The only other thing I can come up with would be Siggy/Barkley to Pedro/Sterling/Walcott

    Cheers in advance, cm

Definitely bring in Alonso, he is essentially playing as a winger, every game he looks like he'll score

Only worry I have as an Alonso owner is he could get rotated once they win the league. Just in time for the dgw too...

Son up front for Spurs. Think I'll get him in if he gets the full game there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,685 ✭✭✭sheroman01

    Transfers I'd love to do:

    Yoshida in for FM
    Son in for Zaha
    Gabbiadini in for Crouch

Will probably make 2 of these before next GW.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,826 ✭✭✭✭dahat

Baines to Alonso my likely FT with a -4 looking unlikely which is very strange for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,274 ✭✭✭✭FHFC

Mmmmm. Fuchs... Goal and assist in his last 2 home games.

Sunderland & Stoke at home. Sunderland and Stoke almost never score.

    Mmmmm.

    Done Sterling to Alli.

Have a few tweaks I'd like to make so injurirs between now & start of GW will see me activate my WC

Have had green arrows continuously since Xmas (bar one week) so bit reluctant to rip things up. However think this could be a good time to set up with the remaining 9 matches left!

I'd look at moving Barkley on. Everton have LIV A and UTD A next two, plus no DGW, so having three of them seems excessive, despite their excellent form.

Thinking of Fuchs and Pedro in for Funes Mori and Siggy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭Shanotheslayer

Thoughts here please, thinking of a (-4)
    Coleman to Alonso
    Defoe to Costa
Mane to Redmond Or Firminho to Ward Prowse.

    Any ideas?

    Would leave me with
    De Gea
    Alonso Walker Ward or Prodl(Rotate)

    Mane/Firminho , Redmond/Prowse King Siggy Antonio

    Costa Aguero Lukaku

I wouldn't go Coleman to alonso for a hit. Alonso looks like he'll score all the time but he rarely does and Chelsea have stopped keeping clean sheets. Coleman has more attacking returns recently (assumption, haven't checked) and more clean sheets in last 6 games at least.

Id keep Mane and the moves look good to me then.

Reason I'm thinking is due to Evertons next 2 fixtures.

Away to Liverpool( Have a hideous record there) and away to United.

Can't see Coleman getting a CS or any attacking points over next 2 fixtures so i'd expect a 4 from him over the 2 games.

Lukaku never shines against the big teams either(Just saw he rose so that's nice for me) so he's a possibility to go also

    Edit:
Actually Jive think your right. I could play my AOA chip then and go with

    De Gea

    Prodl(Or Ward) Walker
    Mane,Redmond,Siggy,King,Antonio
    Lukaku,Aguero,Costa

    Looks tasty on paper :pac:

I watched the game yesterday and apart from an excellent chance in the first few mins he was very quiet.

Janssen, despite his first goal from open play in the cup last weekend still only got 5 mins at the end so I think Son will keep his place but who knows

Alli is the Spurs player to have, I'll almost certainly be getting him back in after the internationals. Never shoulda sold him. Great fixtures, biggest goal threat of their mids (including Son IMO) and penalties till Kane returns.

    Gold.

Not guaranteed that Alli is on penalties. Pochettino indicated after the game that there was no pecking order. Seemed to be a case of he took it because he won it.

Plus I couldn't see either Eriksen or Son as being aggressive enough to try and take the ball off him if he did try and take it.

Was Son not in an epic battle for a penalty earlier in the season?

Hard to believe that they are not more organised than that, could and has caused major arguments between teammates in the past
