It's never a straight conversion. The Japanese are paying <€245 for the Switch while we've to pay €330. They always get things cheaper.

I'm thinking it'll be 50 or 60 for us. No source, just a hunch!

I wonder how comfortable it will be playing split screen multiplayer on the tablet, it looks quite small.

I bought one at the end of last year for my phone. 64GB for about €16.20 delivered and good performance. It's gone up in price since then.

Look around and you'll find good deals. 64GB wouldn't be enough in the long run. If I was buying one for the Switch I'd look at 128GB minimum, possibly 200GB.

    This 200GB card is €54.

Edit: I'd use AddressPal for postage.

Thanks man, do you find the ebay retailers reliable?

My own experience hasn't proven that they are. Twice i got fake SD cards that had less storage than advertised, and were just plain fake :p. Argos do good deals on them every so often.

Yep. Very seldom have I had problems. Check their feedback especially on the item you're after if possible. Some say they're in the UK but if you click on their name sometimes they're located in China and places like that. Beware of fakes too, if the price seems too good to be true, it usually is.

Thanks guys. Having a lok and the 128 gb samsung evo seems like it might be a good one for me. I'll be buying physical ( the joy of cartridges for a home console again) as much as possible, so figuring 128 should be enough for a good while.

Also took some crappy videos while I was playing Zelda BOTW and Tried to show how seemless it was taking it out of the dock. It was merely a second. And u dont even feel it clicking into the USBC slot. Also took some off screen footage ofZelda and it was stunning. That art style...(Homer J Simpson Drool.....):)

How does it feel in hand? The bezel looks huge there, do you notice it when playing?

I hate, hate bezels, yet never even noticed it on the switch, i think the quality of screen coupled with nice symmetrics overall means u dont notice it. I want  this Black Joycons thou now though they go well with  that chassis

Yeah ordered the black one myself. Think maybe the combination of the coloured Joycons and the pure white screen there makes the bezel stand out more there.

    Pre-ordered a switch today

Delighted as I thought I would ahve to hold out until later in the year but got an unexpected bonus in work :)

Very much looking forward to Switchmas and will try and get the day off work

I was showing some trailers to my wife this evening, Just dance and 1-2 Switch seem like winners for her and I am sure she will give Zelda a go

The 128GB is pretty good. Great read speeds. It just has low write speeds of around 20Mb/s much like the Sandisk ultras. You need the Samsung Pro+ or Evo 256GB for 90Mb/s but they cost €€

The blacks ones are only on the dev kits for the time being. Us mortals are getting the grey and blue red versions at launch.

I have an opposite red blue pack ordered so can go all red or all blue. The joy cons are going to be big collector items like the Wii motes were.

Alas i ordered with Amazon using parcel motel and expected delivery is Sat 4th at best. Which means i will get it Monday the 6th hopefully. Luckily parcel motel is 5 min walk from work or home. Gives me time to sort out a cheap1080p monitor as at home gaming is a bedroom job. Although I expect to be playing 80℅ time on the go.

The only options to Ireland is free which takes up to 5 days, or standard which takes up to 3 days. Whereas it'll get to Parcel Motel by Saturday if he's lucky.

Nintendo Marketing Head Nick Chavez on their future marketing:

Expect the marketing barrage to continue even after the Super Bowl. "This isn't just a six to eight week launch campaign," says Chavez, referring to the Switch's hands-on reveal in early January through to its launch on March 3. "This is really a 15 month campaign for us, to say nothing of our plans for 2018. You're going to see a number of other touch points, including additional 30 or 60 second executions in the coming weeks that emphasize the full proposition, meaning those multiple demographics, including kids, teenagers, young adults, parents, active gamers, casual gamers and so forth."

Jealous, I forgot to back the kickstarter so I'll have to buy it like a jugheaded commoner.

I just switched mine to the Switch, no indication of how delayed that's going to be, compared to the PS4/XB1/PC versions.
But it'll be very nice playing it on Nintendo hardware, where it belongs.
Let's just hope it lives up to the hype, unlike Mighty No.9
