Gamestop also said they'll be calling people with pre orders if your store does a midnight launch. Apparently its up to the manager.

Was going to hold off on this till around Black Friday/ Christmas time but I'm after caving. Pre ordered the Neon blue red SKU with Zelda.

I didn't really take to the WiiU and traded it last year to Cex but the more I learn about the Switch I'm really warming to it.

They seem to be hitting the perfect notes with advertising so far.

Will be interesting to see if the marketing spend reaches to actually having ads on Irish/UK channels to any real extent this time (compared to Wii U).

One thing that the last two ads have made me wonder though. Is it possible to play local multiplayer with two Switches if one is docked? i.e. one player gets a full TV screen and the other gets their full Switch screen.

I did mine a few days before the launch event on the 11th Jan, but no one has contacted me yet.

I ordered mine on the 11th, two days before the event on the Jan 13th.
Wouldn't worry too much about it. I think the €50 thing is still a miscommunication.

The 12th I think.

The guy said he had a list of names to get through so I wouldn't worry.

You can ring them as well. That's what my mate did the other day and the chap on the phone said he hadn't got to his name yet on the list but it was on there and he would have contacted him at some stage.

€30 for download rentals, discounts, online play, whatever isn't bad. Half the price of XBL/PS+.

Is it still not confirmed whether you can keep these games yet? I thought once you tie them to your account within the month, they're yours as long as you're a subscriber?

It's never a straight conversion. The Japanese are paying <€245 for the Switch while we've to pay €330. They always get things cheaper.

You've to decide whether to buy it or not at the end of the month otherwise you lose it.

You'll get to download and play a NES or SNES game for free for a month. So the general consensus is that after the month is up you'll have to buy the game outright keep it. Even though you will be paying your yearly sub anyway.

Have they said when the online update to support XC cards will be available? The wording is very ambiguous.

I bought one at the end of last year for my phone. 64GB for about €16.20 delivered and good performance. It's gone up in price since then.

Look around and you'll find good deals. 64GB wouldn't be enough in the long run. If I was buying one for the Switch I'd look at 128GB minimum, possibly 200GB.
