I don't follow grace any more (did for a few mins to see her apology to Rosemary but deleted again) so didn't see there snaps re Aldi but disnlook at blog post. No mention of #ad which is bizzare as that usually where they put it and not in the snaps!! With her being on tv and radio last week Talking about how great she is at disclosure you would imagine she would be extra careful about all this!! Wonder will the ASAI see this if they are monitoring it all?

I'm sorry but someone really has to take Grace aside and give her a talking to. Is she really that clueless in relation to blogging, social media and what she says and does? Or does she actually know what she's doing and is blatantly doing whatever she wants/feels like/could be bothered doing and to hell with everyone else? If she was an employee in a business who only adhered to the guidelines of her industry when it suited her or when she was pulled up on it, I'm sorry but she would have probably gotten her P45 by now. I note from her bio on Instagram that she's a member of Andrea Roche's agency, if I was Ms Roche I would a) make sure my influencers are briefed on the ASAI guidelines and b) pull up influencers who aren't complying. It can't be good for her business.


The backlash Grace received over the weekend wasn't just in relation to her conduct at the Gossies but an accumulation of non disclosures, inconsistencies, and overuse of snapchat. I just feel that she's a disaster waiting to happen.

Its crazy.....you know id expect it if i was rude or was abusing her,but it is what it is........
It is wrong though and clearly her attidute as well as many others is not something i would want representing my brand(if i had one)..

I took everything at face value too,,,i used to love all these "this is to die for" "my number 1 product" "cant live without this" product (i am/was that gullable on snapchat) reviews and totally believed in them because so and so said i needed them in my life.....my eyes have been totally opened the last few days with product content now been sponsered(which dosnt bother me but i think i would perfer in future someone who has paid money and then reviews and will make my own decision on product.) and have unfollowed a good few this morning......

I actually follow her and have noticed in the last couple of weeks her snaps are of the front of shops or things she's sent for free or stuff she's promoting without #ad and her baby .
There no content at all anymore I just skip past most of it .
At the end of the day most of these girls set up these blogs because of their love for beauty.
That's how they gained their followers most of these bloggers now just show constant products and constant baby snaps .. I admire the likes of the beautiful truth and sharon leavy as they haven't strayed to far from where they started and they keep there private life and kids separate..

I love sharon snap chat,its everyday life...theres no false bull **** with her.......and everthing she has she buys herself...

I don't know if any of you follow Laura Cunningham on SC. She's the Editor of Confetti Magazine and the owner of Hippenings. Anyway, I was watching her snaps (think it was Sunday) and basically she was saying she wonders if companies would have to contact bloggers to ask if the want the products for free now as they have to pay BIK on free items and as she states, sometimes she's sent things she doesn't even want.

This is very interesting to me because doesn't that then open up when things are sent for free? For example, MUF got sent Lingerie from Lidl this morning - tagged as Not an ad, but she still gave out all the relevant info including the range, date it's available etc. To me that's still an ad as she is advertising a product with all the relevant info. It's not as if she had even tried the set on and liked them and it's her honest recommendation.

Yes I know this follows under 'if no money is exchanged with the assumption of a mention' so technically not a paid ad, but it's very interesting because it's considered BIK so technically there is an exchange of goods. Just curious to see how many bloggers/influencers will turn down free goods now that they'll have to pay taxes on them.

Thing is they've always had to pay taxes on free goods as would anyone else. It's not a new thing. MUF has worked with Lidl before, so maybe she just thought they were nice for the prices. Still seems like an ad to me aswell tho.

Obviously big ticket items such as the use of cars etc they were always required, but things like lipstick haha even Rosemary joked the other day when she was in Starbucks and got a free mini coffee saying 'do I need to pay BIK on this'. Obviously it was a joke, but maybe there's an element of truth considering what Laura Cunningham stated.

I'm honestly shocked because I remember talking about that in the other thread and we were told that small things weren't BIK. I was going mad (slight exaggeration ) over it because I was sure it did qualify as BIK as I remembered learning it in business but I'm sure we were definitely told it didn't qualify.

I don't really care because I always thought it was BIK ha. I wonder if Grace paid BIK on that TV :P

which is riduclious, to be fair i snapped JK last night asking was it an ad and he responded saying no if it was he would #ad. asked was it a free meal and he explained he was invited as he is a food reviewer... to be fair... didnt block so its a bit ridiculous if thye are blocking you just for asking, like what do you expect, us to think you pay for everything yourself?
