I think Rosie has had the sense to distance herself from the mess that is Grace's attempt at being a blogger.

I was surprised to see no public support from Rosie when Grace was being 'bullied' (read: completely violated the terms of a group then cried boo hoo when someone had the audacity to actually hold her accountable for her actions) so I think thier bromance has been cooling off for a while now.

That's exactly what I thought where was Rosie when grace was being called out .
I definitely think Rosie has distanced herself from grace and I don't blame her,
If I was a blogger I wouldn't like to be associated with grace.
Imo grace is not one bit genuine it's all promoting and then constant baby snaps, I remove her and add her back when I read about her doing something else shady, the nose gets the better of me lol.

I know it's been said already but Grace wining the prize sponsored by Meaghers, I mean really

It couldn't look more set up if they tried.

And an influencer who is investigated by ASAI wins best influencer :o you couldn't make it up!

That actually baffles me out of all the bloggers she is the worst offender for not being transparent.
She is being investigated for her behaviour.
    She illegally promoted products.
    Absolutely a set up imo.
It appeared to be nothing but Snapchatters at them gossies.

Just had a look on snapchat nd this event looked farcical.

It appears that none of the top 4 or 5 Irish bloggers/influencers attended.

Delighted for doireann garrihy and louise o'reilly but the whole scene seems desperately jaded.

The only ones I would actually listen to are RMC, Sinead o brien and the beautiful truth to an extent.

The others are just painful at this stage and I hope for their sakes they can diversify quickly because it looks like theveryone make your living off snapchat craze is dying quickly. People are not stupid and it's beyond grim watching ad after ad after ad!

No words for Grace winning 😂 She appears dishonest and has zero content whatsoever bar her baby and making porridge. While it's a lovely baby, it's not exactly riveting to put it nicely!

    I'm not a fan of Grace and like others I follow and unfollow. We both had our first babies at the same time so I can see how she could have won the award for a few reasons;

I joined the sham of a facebook support page she set up and you could she has a serious following and fan base - 17k members

The amount of free stuff her baby got - a friend sent her a blanket which she showed and he sales went up 550%!

The whole formula thing - uproar so you could see again her big following

The missfit skinny challenge - as soon as Grace mentioned a few thousand extra joined the Facebook group

Talking about her weight post baby, other recent mammies like Just Jordan and Pippa were back in shape in no time and didn't mention it was a struggle which isn't the majority so I think a lot of other mammies can relate there

Again, not my cup of tea and i don't agree with the lack of transparency but I can see she still has a big support base - probably more so a younger and more naive following.

I follow Grace on snapchat and she does seem genuinely lovely; very relatable too :)

Relatable maybe but what has she influenced exactly?

Thought it was incredibly crass and hypocritical of Grace to call out Rosemary's name (at the mention of which everyone booed!) The same one who's been crying on Snapchat about being "bullied" ie called out on unethical behaviour. One would hope that people see through that but I don't hold out much hope given who her audience is. Mean girls indeed.

Disgusted with Grace. No need for that behaviour. So much bullying in the blogging world, if anyone dares say anything they don't like they are up in arms about it then. Grace & the make up fairy bein the worst offenders.

Which is great if she's a friend of yours but as a blogger / influencer she's 'jumped the shark' as they say months back. She does seem like a lovely girl and her boyfriend comes off as a gent. If there was a reward for cutest baby she'd deserve it ( that smile) cause tbh that's the only reason I still follow her but even that is invasive .
Go enjoy your baby for a few years ... don't feel the need to film every single minute of the poor child's life to share with strangers. I'd say the child wouldn't recognise her without a phone between them.
Her refusal to #ad is fast losing her fans tho i'd imagine. I find her less sincere by the snap.

Oh I don't know her personally, heard about her from girls in my class at my college. I do agree with the baby thing though. As I said I do like Grace and her baby is adorable :) But I find myself flicking past the snapchats of her baby as I feel like I'm being intrusive and that it's invasive. A relative of mine hates pictures/videos of babies and small kids on social media. Her reasoning is that they don't have a say and that it's not fair on them

Apologies to any of Grace's minions on here but I have to say that I think anyone who followes here must be more than a just little thick to

    A) Not see right through her & her disingenuous (frankly illegal!) ways

    and

    B) Actually willing spend half their day indulging in Grace's unhealthy obsession with oversharing every mundane detail of her mundane life on SC!

Realistically if her life was interesting she actually wouldn't have so much time to be on Snapchat...

no wonder she's the only 'blogger' who has time to snap that much, the rest of them are too busy working & creating content... she does neither!

I saw someone tweeting something like 'what would life be without Grace's Snapchat'

The answer? You'd have some time to live your own life!

I've heard several times that Irish bloggers with half a brain are seriously trying to distance themselves as she's making a joke of the whole industry & you can see it from social media anyway.

When was the last time she actually bothered to get up off her arse & produce actual decent content?

    I can wait...

Rosemary has shared the video on her FB. As someone said on here Grace has more front than Trinity College... double standard or what?

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 13,425 ✭✭✭✭Ginny

And Grace gets Influencer of the year

But why? She's just a girl sharing her normal life with everyone dontchaknow...she couldn't influence anyone according to her during her ****e about the formula.
The quicker people see through her the better, the venom and bile her "followers" spewed on her Facebook page when anyone questions her was vile.
Grace seems to say whatever she thinks people want to hear at the time, all the while trying to be the girl next door.

I just watched the video. Asides from the complete catty behaviour, I have to say the ceremony itself was so cringey! So unprofessional. I have literally being to sports day awards ceremonies in a primary school that was run better. Scarlet for all involved.

I thought it was Vogue Williams who
    mentioned Rosemary ?
I had a look at snapchat earlier and saw that makeupfairy made no mention of the gossies and why she missed them. I don't care either way but she did mention more than once that she was going. I think its odd to ignore it.

Omg. The nastiness just gets worse. What started out as a tongue in cheek blog post about an event has ended up in extremely personal and b!tchy behaviour from a bunch of mean girls. State of them all there in their altered zip yard dresses thinking they are gods gift. What a horrible industry.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 384 ✭✭blairbear

A lot of Grace's followers have been commenting on her instagram saying they're now unfollowing her after her nasty behaviour.
Grace is frantically deleting all the comments but more keep appearing!

To think a bully like this won ANY kind of award is just farcical. I feel so bad for Rosemary, having to go through this. Hopefully she isn't too bothered.

Edit; Rosemary had even left a nice comment on a photo of Grace last night about her dress. And she still was that horrible!

Seen that! Just shows the state of the blogger/influencer sphere when the influencer of the year is basically being catty. I am glad that people are starting to see through her. I have a lot more respect for MUF and SJ for not turning up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 691 ✭✭✭dashdoll

Exceptionally nasty behaviour from Grace. She is a grown woman and a mother. Total embarrassment. Christ, I don't know how she gets any work from brands the way she carries on.

Her behaviour was any direct and personal slur on RMC. I'm not her biggest fan either all the time but at least she has integrity.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 398 ✭✭SpillingTheTea

People are really not letting her behaviour slide on instagram. I have literally seen 3 batches comments get deleted

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 83 ✭✭mad about nuts

Why didnt muf go to the gossies, she hasnt referred to the gossies at all in the last 2 days.
I think you can see that serious bloggers like pippa and sosue are distancing themselves from the gossies over all the neg press its gotten....and holly carpenter and marrissa carter no where to be seen either.......id say these gave the gossies a bad rep in trying to defend the gossies with the twiter war with rosemary.
    Gossies no more...

    I just saw the video...WOW :/

Grace has REALLY gone down in my estimations after that. I never thought she'd be so bitchy and catty, especially after claiming she's been bullied online herself. Makes it even worse that Rosemary left such a lovely comment on her instagram. Tbh, I think this whole Gossies awards drama thing is showing just how horrible the blogging industry is. Fair play to the top bloggers for staying away, if that's what it was about! Vogue Williams is an absolute dose too, she was very snide last night

Does anyone know who said the comment on snapchat about why Rosemary wasn't going? Thought that was terrible.

Rosemary's article has been blown so much out of proportion. If it was anyway decent sort of awards show it wouldn't have been brought into it at all. If I was in Ali's shoes I would have made sure nobody mentioned any of the negativity.

Hope Rosemary isn't taking this to much to heart. I think she comes out looking the best after all of this. She didn't insult anyone (from what I have seen) and stuck to her guns while being 'adult' about it!
